Kieran had just asked Carmine if she could go and grab something for him while he stays in the league room to tidy up a few things and organize his belongings that belonged in the room. He had purposely timed it so that he would be the only one there, not wanting to confront anyone just yet, and just wanted some time to himself. There was truthfully only a small amount of people Kieran could handle seeing at the moment, and Carmine just happened to be the main one.

He doesn't question it when he hears the sound of the door unlocking. In his mind, it's just his sister, returning with the items he asked her to grab.

"I didn't think you'd be back so soon, Car--"

Kieran's words get caught in his throat when he looks over his shoulders and finds the last person he wants to see. The smile that had formed on his face drops, and quickly, Kieran turns his head to focus on his task at hand, but his mind grows jumbled. He loses track of what it was he was even doing in the first place, only able to focus on the sound of his now rapidly beating heart in his ears.

What the hell was Drayton doing here?

finished the dlc! its safe to say kieran's muse is revving (thank you to my friends who dont play pokemon who let me ramble about him when i was going through it <3) but do i have some thoughts. mostly irt kieran.

disappointed but not at all surprised to see that kieran, at least on twitter, has turned into a punching bag for being an annoying character or whatever. the pokemon fanbase there just doesn't really understand complex characters without labeling them as "annoying" or "bad," and a lot of people tend to forget that at the oldest, kieran is. what. 16? he's still a kid, a deeply flawed individual, and the way the dlc handled his arc felt like it was a nice change of pace from how rivals have been recently.

idk, man. i just have a lot of feelings about kieran and seeing him immediately get slandered by the fanbase because nobody seems to remember he's just a kid makes me so angry, but like i said: i'm disappointed but not surprised over the general public opinion i've been seeing about him.

"O--Oh, sorry!" Kieran is quick to apologize, being pulled out of his thoughts when he hears the sound of Kotone's voice, directly addressing him.

He had been following her around, listening to her talk in silence as his mind is flurried with thought, after thought, after thought, after thought. They range from miniscule things - from wondering if his grandparents back at home are alright, to more severe things such as wondering if...

... He shouldn't linger on that.

Kieran smiles at Kotone, shaking his head as he raises his hands up, as if to shield away the conflicting emotions he feels welling up inside him.

"Nothin'. I'm just zoning out, is all. I didn't get much sleep last night... What were you saying?"

To anybody else, the sight can be startling.

Kieran stands in front of a training dummy, with only Yanmega outside of his pokeball. The area around them is torn up, with obvious signs of some kind of fight happening there. But, it's only Kieran, and his pokemon, and a horribly torn up dummy, threatening to fall off it's stand.

"We're just trainin'." Kieran says, looking up towards the stranger, a tone of wariness in his voice. "Sorry...we didn't cause a disturbance. Did we?"
