Niamh was quiet, and frowning. Just slightly, more out of confusion than anything that could be called annoyance or anger. She couldn't take a deep breath, or sigh, but she could lean back slightly, think a moment, and then frown more and she leaned forward to be upright again, "Truly, I do not understand why so many people are convinced Death can be cheated and will go out of the way to correct some perceived slight. Living is not cheating death, living is the thing that comes before death, and I assure you Death can be incredibly patient about these things. How are you still making movies about this?"

So the first two months of this year were...really eventful for me, let's say, and then I just never made it back over here. I am now though, and I want to get this girl up and moving again! Because I love her, and she's fun to write, and I want to do that more, so I'm going to! Inbox is being cleaned out, threads checked, and then we'll get going!

A hand was offered and Niamh watched as Sioda stretched for it to sniff at Harry's fingers a moment, before moving to bump against them. Without actually getting up from his spot on the floor, of course, "I'm not sure he needs the encouragement in knowing that he's cute and can get away with things, but you are right." she agreed. She was guilty herself of complimenting her familiar and giving him as much attention and affection as she could share, "He likes you...and your shoelaces of course, but he wouldn't have gone over so quickly if he didn't like you already." and that was a lot to be said.

Familiar were old, older even than their partners in some cases, and powerful in their own right. They'd seen many souls and many dangers, could sense when one was a threat or in need. So if Harry had already won the familiar's trust and interest in so short a time, then rumors around the city about the company meant little, at least when talking to him. Which did have Niamh more curious about the lab itself, though she doubted that she would understand all of it.

"He's been with me a long time now, and is quite protective himself." she added, smiling a little, "Even if he doesn't really look it at the moment." or when the shoelace in question regained Sioda's attention and he flopped onto the ground again to continue pawing and batting at it, "If you need to move to one of the table to work he'll only be disappointed for a moment. But he may follow you and resume his game, if it's not too much trouble or distraction. Otherwise I can come and collect him." a meow of protest was given a s the familiar tilted his head back to look at him, "Don't be rude."

Sioda licked over his nose and attention returned to Harry's shoe in defiance.

The existence of miracles was not unwelcome news, all in all... but perhaps uncharitably, he couldn't help the thought that it mattered little, if the miracles did not show up when he needed them.

Then again, as matters stood... he'd settle for survival, if he couldn't have a miracle cure. Because he'd seen too many horror stories coming from Oscorp, and he'd been too close for them, to experiment with magic recklessly.

He was, however, observant, and he regarded her patiently at her remark, wondering if he would get an answer or only an assurance that was only faintly reassuring... before she kept on speaking, and he couldn't help the faint bafflement, up until she addressed the invisible being.

An invisible being that was a cat that seemed to be very comfortable there, now visible and apparently fae, and even despite this, a good part of Harry's concerns were soon gone, because he had always found cats to be rather cute.

"Hello, Sioda." He began, however, his smile small and yet rather fond, because he had heard many tales about the Fae and just in case he wouldn't start talking to one like one would a very cute cat or baby. For all he was sorely tempted to, and instead chose to crouch a little, careful not to move his foot too much, and offer Sioda his hand to smell, see if Fae or not, he'd appreciate the attention.

"There's no need to apologize, especially not when the surprise is this cute." He said instead.
