Final Fantasy XV Cape Caem Area Pics
Every so often when I need to research a setting in FFXV, I have to play around the area and check out map to figure out where everything is relative to. This time I bothered to take pics from my phone to visualize as I transcribe things. I wish there was an easier way to transfer Prompto’s photos that isn’t social media. So I did it myself with camera mode to assist on taking characters out of frames. I apologize for the tv lines.

First off the cabin relative to the entering town. Cursor is right next to cabin.

Cabin relative to chocobo outpost when you enter and then the Spelcray Campgrounds.

Room inside the cabin.

Angelguard from the overpass you take to get from cabin to the campgrounds. You can also just see Angelguard from the Lighthouse, but it’s further away.

Lighthouse from Overpass

Lighthouse from craggy rocks under Campgrounds

Overpass from above Campgrounds

Solheim or Oracle Seals
Hard to find a better pic, but this is what I have
These seem to be based on Solheim markings, but they were put there by an Orcale and a King.

It’s on its side, sorry for that, but mainly I got tired of there being no full map. Mostly for a friend, but if this helps anyone, have at it and share.

So how about the people selling stuff out of their cars that you find here and there when you’re away from the larger cities or outposts with actual shops? asked no one but too bad

I checked a couple of these truck-shops, and as far as I can tell they are all identical. But they have some interesting details! As you can see from the professional-looking sign there, the shop is called JM Market Lestallum. I assume that means they are affiliated with a JM Market that is in Lestallum, though I don’t remember exactly because there are like… there are a lot of shops in Lestallum.
You know what JM Market is NOT affiliated with, however?

So many people came up to this truck selling potions and fish crackers asking about Justice Monsters that they had to make a sign.
They are also so virulently anti-Garula that they had to tape up “NO GARULAS” signs twice.

Pardon, four times. I don’t know if that means they don’t… sell Garula meat, or they won’t… serve Garulas?? There is probably a story here.
The vendors themselves sell pretty much the same things that the convenience stores and occasional witches do, but they have a fantastically random assortment of items in the actual truck.

They do have potions and phoenix downs on display (”phoenix downs” always makes the grammar lobe of my brain cringe but treating “phoenix down” as plural makes the rest of my brain roll its hopefully metaphorical eyes). The phoenix downs actually have an animation cycle for a glowing effect, which is very neat; I clumsily made a gif of it.
Every vendor in the game who has potions on display has them in these metal stands. Just manufacture proper bottles! They can’t be any more dangerous to smash with your bare hands than incredibly inconvenient ones.

Cheese chips. Very important.

Phoenix Purple, now available in detergent bottles! Perfect for washing down sacks of snow peas.

Junon Motor Oil and that sea salt Ignis was going on about. Also… possibly cans of paint?

Now that the Platinum Demo has brought that tin of fish crackers to my attention, I’ve realized basically every vendor in the game carries fish crackers. Fish crackers are extremely popular in Eos.
And that still appears to be paint. Probably should have found a better angle on those white cans.

In case anyone cares about what the Japanese says:
"活魚" = live fish (like in a tank)
"寿司 釣り道楽" = Sushi Fishing Trail/Pastime (it can mean both but I'm guessing it's the former)
"STANDING SUSHI 立ち喰い寿司釣り" = STANDING SUSHI stand and eat sushi"
The place's name (釣り道楽) would be transliterated to "Tsuri Douraku". Again, in case anyone cares... Fishing Pleasure...or Hobby

Also, why have I not read fics in which the bros go to Meat & Meet or drink CoolCool soda? Fandom, you have failed me.
