Since October 2023, Ahmed Najar's family has been displaced 7 times under Israeli bombardment in Gaza. His mother is disabled; she cannot walk.

Each time they were forced to flee, they moved her using a donkey. Because Israel bombed the roads, destroyed vehicles, and cut off fuel, that donkey was their only lifeline.

Now Israeli soldiers are entering Gaza and taking the donkeys. Flying them out to France. Rescuing them to sanctuaries inside Israel. Loading them into trucks, while families that depended on them are left behind, starving and under siege.

"To rescue a donkey while denying a human being water is not mercy – it is a message. That your suffering is invisible. That your life is disposable. That even your beasts of burden are worth more than you.

What kind of state uses animal rights as a PR tool while carrying out what has been widely described by human rights organizations and experts as genocidal attacks on the very people those animals once served?" said Ahmed Najar.

A public performance of morality while people rot under rubble. While children die of dehydration. While the wounded lie untreated. Donkeys are airlifted to safety. Palestinians are left to die in tents.

And when Israel takes them away under the banner of "rescue," it is definitely not offering mercy but tightening the noose.

hello everyone! we at kfsf are back again with a fundraiser for shimaa (@itsshimaa200 on tumblr) and her family. shimaa is a friend of ours and we have raised money many times for her sake - please feel free to check out my #shimaa tag for updates and information, or check kfsf's website.

as some of you may know, gaza is suffering from repeated bombardment, famine, and now, attacks on aid distribution sites. people are struggling to afford basic necessities to survive.

we are hoping to help shimaa and her family purchase a bag of flour, which is currently extremely expensive. her family is large, and she has worked hard to provide for them - particularly her chronically ill nephew and her elderly grandmother. for a single bag of flour, the price is $1000, and the withdrawal fee from the atm in gaza is $45.

in total, we are hoping to raise $1045 as soon as possible so shimaa and her family can buy these supplies before prices increase further. and we would appreciate your support to reach this total! the easiest way to help us reach our goal is to donate using the link below:

how it works:

once the money arrives, shimaa will take videos and photos to document that the donations were received and able to help her get what she needs.

In a landmark and highly controversial decision, Israel's cabinet voted on 13 May to take full responsibility for land registration in Area C of the occupied West Bank – an area comprising around 60 percent of the territory and home to the vast majority of Israeli settlements. The move, pushed by far-right Ministers Israel Katz and Bezalel Smotrich, is widely being described by critics as a de facto annexation of Palestinian land.

Under the 1995 Oslo Accords, Area C was placed under temporary Israeli control, with an eventual transition to Palestinian Authority (PA) administration expected. That transition never materialized. Now, with the new cabinet resolution, any land registration efforts by Palestinians in Area C will be declared legally void by Israel. Israeli authorities plan to initiate formal land registration processes, conduct widespread land surveys, and potentially reclassify vast tracts as “state land,” opening them for settlement expansion.

Under international law, all Israeli settlement in the occupied West Bank is illegal.

Today I was transferred to the hospital due to my loss of consciousness due to the psychological disturbances I was exposed to after my previous JoFundMe campaign was deleted. Up until this moment, my thinking has never stopped. I find it very difficult to sleep. I have never stopped thinking. All I am thinking about is whether I will be able to receive treatment or not, and whether I will be able to collect the costs of my surgery or not.
