The older woman didn't say anything until he finished talking. "Fair enough." Was all that she said in response. Even though she was peeved at the comparison, at least the topic seemed to have been dropped for the time being.

&  Jin  actually  failed  to  understand  as  to  why  she’d  be  offended  by  such  a  comparison.  “  …  isn’t  that  true  for  a  majority  of  people,  &  other  animals  ?  Carnivores,  &  omnivores  all  feast  on  the  dead,  ”  he  pointed  out  as  if  it  was  no  big  deal  to  him.  “  But  I  wasn’t  making  the  comparison  based  on  personality,  or  whatever.  I  was  saying  if  people  spot  black  wings  in  the  sky  -  they  may  assume  you’re  a  vulture  as  they  also  have  black  wings.  ”

"But they are not the only ones with black wings, right? You could have used a better example instead of something that is essentially what you described as being a scavenger." Her mood didn't change in the slightest. Even if the comparison wasn't done out of malice, she still didn't like it.
