My biggest pet peeve in modern day fandom is that you get a week, maybe two weeks of everybody engaging, and being excited about, and having fun with a new movie or a new episode of a show. That’s it. You get a week. You get two if you’re lucky.
After that, someone inevitably makes a post that says, “enough time has passed to admit…” and then gives some bad faith shitty opinion. This is followed by everybody shitting all over the new thing and all over the people who actually wants to have fun with the media they’re interacting with for entertainment
