Hey guys! As you know, there can be a lot of negativity surrounding the TVD Fandom. Whether it be ship wars, character hate or the recent news of our beloved Nina not returning for Season 7. I think we should start spreading some more positivity with this fandom. 

Hopefully people will want to participate in this. It’s going to start the Sunday after the Season 6 finale. So May 17th-May 23rd. You can CREATE ANYTHING. Whether it be gifs, edits or you just want to make a post talking about it! Anything that makes you happy. If you have any questions, feel free to ask! (Because I’m sure I may have forgotten something because I’m a scatter brain)

Day 1: Favourite Character(s) (Sunday May 17th): Let’s start off easy with making things dedicated to our favourite character(s)! If you have more than one, make multiple posts! Day 2: Favourite pairing (Monday May 18th): Whether it be friendship, relationship, canon, non-canon, their together, they aren’t together. Create something showing your favourite things about them. Day 3: Favourite season finale and/or opener (Tuesday May 19th): We’ve had some pretty crazy season openers but even crazier finales. Pick one or the other… or even better, both! The worst part of all of this for me - even not being a real fan of the show in quite awhile - is that they knew this was the end for Elena and they couldn’t just respect her fans, nor the Delena fandom, which played such a huge part in the shows success over the years.

With Nina Dobrev leaving TVD at the end of season 6, this will be Elena’s final season on the show. To commemorate all of the wonderful things about Elena’s character, the heartbreaking and beautiful moments and to give her a sendoff she deserves, we’re hosting an event to say goodbye to Elena’s time on TVD. 

The Goodbye Elena Event will run from April 27-May 1 2015. There are suggested prompts/ideas for people to submit, but ultimately it is about celebrating Elena Gilbert through text posts, meta, fanfiction, edits, fanart, fanmixes or whatever you can come up with. Suggested prompts include:
