for the first ogsd character made ever of all time, charlotte does not get much attention or have much lore. with azalea it makes sense because she’s been around for maybe over half the time, but charlotte is in dire need of development. which is an issue i’ll worry about when i don’t have a fuck ton of work to do. stay tuned, i’ll probably be able to work on this by the 27th

stacy isn’t going to some theme park or big attraction this summer, so her mom took her to a float parade

ha get caught being a bad person stacy. as of february 18th, 2024, the identity of the tiktok page ‘camphor middle school drama’ has been revealed as stacy. how? stacy told her secret to charlotte, azalea put two and two together after seeing stacy whisper conspicuously to charlotte, azalea can’t keep a secret and told annabelle, annabelle was one of the people who got posted about so she got really mad and told everyone she knew, so then a bunch of people started harassing stacy in the comments. this resulted in stacy having a big series of panic attacks, deleting the account, and throwing up from anxiety. so her mom took care of her and let her stay home from school the next day, but knew something was wrong so she asked. stacy thought she’d be mad if she told the truth so she didn’t at first, but jean didn’t believe her so she pressed and stacy told her sob story. jean was just surprised and somewhat disappointed since stacy had never done something like that, but saw where she was coming from, knew she’d done worse as a kid, and decided to take away her phone for a week but take her out to a big park as a sort of internet detox. oh but a lot of hate awaits stacy once she goes back to school on tuesday lol

made 4 new characters in a day
otis lee, audrey brown, john rodemacher, margaret langlais. they’re some queer high schoolers

margaret (she/her pansexual) is the chronically pissed cottagecore redhead who my friend has typed as “100% aphrodite cabin” because my friend is into pjo. yes those are scars no she does not give a fuck, though a lot of annoying kids in the hallway do. also she gets called a trashy slut but she’s literally not she just likes dressing that way. gets dress coded a lot bc of it
john (he/him omnisexual w masc lean) is an ipad kid but replace ipad with the nintendo switch that he brings to school. also has pathetic wet guy energy.
audrey (they/she/any unlabeled) is cool but idk how to describe them. there’s a certain type of person idk how to label and she’s that. i guess for types they’re entp, 8w9, scoei, true neutral, choleric-phlegmatic. oh also she likes pathetic wet guys so she’s dating john
otis (pron. apathetic gay) is some stem + esports nerd who’s tall. he also listens to this fucky grunge band called a.r.p.o
the ugly chibi drawing is their halloween costumes even though it is most definitely not halloween. otis is an alien audrey is a hot vampire john is an anime maid (though he wore jeans under the dress) and margaret is some kind of fairy.

oh yea i never mentioned i’m in the process of updating my original gen characters’ appearances and some traits to line up with 6th grade. for a while now they’ve been in a sort of flat state around their 3rd / 4th grade looks since i was too attached to their iconic fabulous original looks. but i’m forcing myself to change them oh so sad :( stacy has long hair now, emma’s mental illness is kicking in bad, lily puts her hair up now. and the others when i get to them.
anyway i thought i would also say there are lgbtq+ people in the story, a few in the 6th grade gen but many others too. charlotte for example is bi in denial, lily is aroace because of course she is (but she’s too sheltered and just knows she doesn’t like guys), emma is lesbian as fuck, etc etc.

ok some basic info about ogsd
- it is not one story, and there is not a main character or antagonist. each character is dynamic enough to be a protagonist or antagonist in their own right and context, it just depends whose perspective i’m writing from. think apple bobbing, they’re all apples. you could bob down and grab any of them for a story, and it’d be viable (hopefully. some newer characters are a little weak, like hilja or asher).
- the genre is realistic fiction, and there will not be magic (so sad. i’ll have to branch out to making fantasy aus lol).
- everything in the ogsd universe follows the flow of real time, and i cannot stop it. for example, the original characters just started middle school. they’re trying to adjust to the new setting, i’m trying to adjust to my favorite children (okay, no favorite character but a favorite. uh. edition i guess) not being in their natural habitat. because the redwood counselor mr solinski needs interaction. at least it evens out with how much i neglect blackwood and dogwood
- the story takes place in the real city of eau claire, wisconsin. however, i will take creative liberties as i’m unfamiliar with the area and kind of picked it at random. for example, my father informed me yesterday that the population there was 80% white (as if it isn’t here too) and i’d need less diversity to make it realistic. so i ignored that information lol
- i will randomly talk about characters you do not know because there are too many to store in the brain of someone who hasn’t had a one-fan self-created special interest for 3 years straight.
- all characters are mine, and are not inspired by real people. the closest you could really get is asher torosyan who was a self-insert in the original. however, that is no longer the case
- since it follows real time - i can write about events in the past and present, but never the future. while i have loose ideas about what could happen, i can’t set those in stone until it happens e.g. mira starting en pointe in april. it’s basically given that she will, but there’s no way to know for sure.
- for parts of their life that exist but have not been written, assume that they have autonomy during those times. would that be schrodinger’s stacy? maybe that’s not the right concept, but i’ve heard it be used in that context. quantum stacy ig
- once a piece of information is solidly established, it *cannot* be changed without an explicit reason unless it’s just flat-out wrong. for example, i changed some of the details about the school district’s history, and lily’s name had to be changed twice after i forgot the first and didn’t like the placeholder (hyacinth), but i can’t change the name of lily’s modeling agency, belle’s models & talent, without them legally doing it (it needs to change because i found out there’s another modeling agency named the belle agency in northeast wisconsin). on that note, i should actually make them start the legal processes now. good luck adjusting to middle school *and* a company rebrand, lily! :)

the ogsd universe has been around for about 3 years now. not exactly, because the first prototype (a horror story made in book creator with the doodle tool) was made some time in may, but still. i’m not sure if it’s more or less. anyway, since it’s been a while, i thought i’d share some drawings for comparison of some of the characters. there are many more characters than this.
stacy, charlotte, lily, and jeremy in the book creator original. a recreation, not the real story since it’s now lost media. they were 8 years old and second graders at redwood. now, they are 11 years old. i realized today they’re now 6th graders at camphor, since the story follows the flow of real time. it’s sad. it’s been a very long time. but wasn’t old jeremy beautiful?
here they are now. the differences are partly aging, partly the genre being switched to realistic fiction, and partly me taking the story much more seriously now. and a bit of character development - charlotte’s starting to accept her bisexuality, lily’s mental issues have gotten worse, and jeremy now understands that he cannot bring burgers into class.
