it’s crazy to me that there were people who thought this design was bad. impeccable colors, distinct symbolism and dress for his role in the story, insanely well-defined shape language/silhouette, and the best design trope ever of a dark-skinned with pale hair…what were they smoking
i do like to think the devs intentionally cribbed from millennial’s design with elder faerie too, since both of them are guardians of massive game important trees with a stalwart warden (mercurial knight and wind archer) and surrounding society which worships them as a deity/figure of guidance. it is interesting that the approach to this though was to take millennial’s very inviting, warm color palette and do a 180° with it
