Donating even 5.00 can help. Sharing can help. My insurance won't cover my chair unless I am in it 100% of the time, and then only reimburses part of ones that they approve. I still would have to raise the money for a chair that won't work for what is wrong for my body, and is much more expensive than what I have researched to be the best chair. This chair would improve my quality of life far beyond what I can even explain. I could go "hiking" again. I won't have to walk when my toes are dislocated. New hip to toe leg braces. These are for the good days, to keep my knees and ankles from hyper extending. It has been quite hilarious watching me walk in them. For those who do not know, I have something called Hypermobile Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, which stopped me from being able to make my candles. I have been working diligently trying to get back to it, but to no avail so far. I need quite a bit of assistance devices just to function now. I am trying to fundraise as we speak for a wheelchair. Part of the prepping to pour resin is hours and hours of painting moulds with pigments. When painting a mould you are actually "reverse painting" compared to painting on a canvas or finished item.. You paint in the details first and work your way to the base background color. There is layering of colors, removing pigments to let other colors show through, blending, etc. I chose a simple piece to illustrate the basic painting of pigment, but I hope in the future to include a video capturing more detailed techniques to help those that are new to resin or dabbling in such. Resin pour and shop update: Sorry I have been missing in action from my social media... But I have had record breaking sales since June of this year! In 6 months I have had over 10 thousand views of my shop and I have been pretty much making items non stop. This is difficult due to components being hard to get due to Covid. Prices for my paint alone are 4 times higher than last year at this time... If I can get it. I am taking the month of December off to do inventory on my supplies and spend a little time with my family (in my house, no visiting). I am also redoing my shop. I will be taking some items out, repricing some items, and adding new items. I needed a refresh anyway. :) I am hoping that I won't have to raise my prices much, but I will have to raise them to cover the cost of my components sadly. I hope you are all safe and healthy. Fall is here! Pretty fall primrose. Update below: I want to apologize to everyone for not posting much this year. It has been rough for me. I have been suffering from extreme exhaustion and developed some physical ailments that led me to discover that I had an extreme nutrient deficiency. This is not an uncommon issue for me, as my body has a hard time absorbing nutrients, but this had progressed much farther than normal. This was leaving me falling asleep constantly, not being able to focus without a huge amount of effort, and literally fighting to do basic life skills. Me being me I kept pushing, because I hate "being lazy", until I couldn't push any more. I am now on a vitamin regiment and starting to feel better. It is going to take me a little bit to bounce back...but at least I know (now) why I was feeling how I was feeling. Bittersweet covering the trees when we got here last December. (These pictures were from November 2019, before we bought the house). Highly invasive. We spent months clearing it out. Now? We have lush green growth from the trees that were getting smothered, and as long as we keep on top of it, they will bounce back. Factories still shut down. Components for my shop are either twice the price they normally are...or not being made at all. So frustrating. I won't go into politics on my feed...
