Little morning rebrand. Idk if y’all noticed, but for the past 6 months or so I’ve been playing around with a new signature that plays on the Sam of Thunder name. I like my original logo (swipe far right); I developed it in college & am very proud of it... but I feel like it’s just not me. I constantly feel torn between illustration & design and I am trying to blend the two while enjoying what I do. I know this is very difficult for people to follow, most successful artists have a specific niche & stay in that vein and grow; while I’m over here scattered all over the creative spectrum. I remember seeing @yourmemorial for the first time, way back when before @blakesuddath was added. I was in awe of the majestic heaviness. I recognized @tommyweigel from sonshine pits and later that night bought a shirt out of the back of his car lol. The first time Blake played with the band I thought the stage was coming down. I’ve never had a bad time at a YM show; I really wish last night would have gone differently for me, but I’m still happy to have the memories I do. . In the words of Bloody Sunday, “I never fit in, not saying I didn’t try, I got so sick & tired.” I’m sure it’s a common feeling, but I never felt fully welcomed in the scene, so having a nice group like YM made for some good times.
