I was directed here to ask about your opinion on the other rewrite person that’s on the @btdtpofconfessions blog, I’m curious 🧎‍➡️

i hope we’re talking about the sano anon because i have things to SAY.

me and @3ct0philiac made our version of the BTD guys, everyone does and that’s totally fine! not liking how ours is is also okay! i do not expect anyone to really enjoy our rewrite as we’re taking these horrible characters and just making them worse. what does bother me though is when people whine and vague post about it and try to force their version into everything like that’ll change our (technically my) version of sano.

the whole reason why our sano is intersex is because i wanted to incorporate him being trans in the EP timeline (BTD is just an AU of all the characters in the game, so sano being a trans women is canon as well. it’s confusing if you haven’t explored EPs media). and as it’s stated in the carrd and post: he has internalized transphobic thoughts; and they’re mostly on himself or others close to him if they were to question themselves. that last part wasn’t specified until just recently (bc we forgot) yet it still stands. human form- penis / naga form - vagina.

i will happily accept that sano CAN be a girl boy or whatever that anon said, as that’s their version of him! but ours is as close to BTD and Empires timeline as possible. i will say this controversial take that could get me put out but not all intersex people are okay with who they are. i’m not intersex myself, but being a trans man who’s internally struggling with the acceptance still- it’s hard. you do not just find out you have a uterus/testes and then get excited. i’ve met people who absolutely despise themselves over it. it’s heartbreaking and upsetting and i really wanted that to be conveyed somehow in our rewrite.

BTD as a whole, especially the fandom, is full of loose ends and people who think their hcs are better than another persons just because they dont agree with it. i’m not saying the sano anon is in the wrong either- it IS weird! i agree! which is why it’s there. it’s supposed to be unsettling. it’s supposed to make you feel as if it’s wrong- because it is. that’s literally the point of the game and our rewrite. the relationships in ours are skewed and broken because not everything has to be wholesome and work out in the end. cain is a great example of this! he will never be a good parent to the twins because he’s. well. cain. but to say he’s a good father is a long shot. maybe to that person, yes absolutely he is, but to us he’s neglectful and has paraphillic thoughts about his son.

at the end of the day, i can’t stop what other people think about things. if they don’t agree with us im not going to throw a hissy fit over it despite seeming like it. but to post about it vaguely over the internet is just a new low :/
