-Yelps when he's squished and laughs and hugs Corbin, kissing him back.- I missed you, I love you... I'm sorry I left.

Hearing the childhood nickname, it's confirmed to him that it is in fact Cael in front of him, Oliver feels frozen to the spot. His heart's racing and he feels himself trembling with emotion, but he can't bring himself to move. Part of him is afraid this is just some kind of cruel trick, that Cael isn't really here or that he'll draw closer and Ares will suddenly appear.
He wants so badly for it to be Cael, he's missed him so much, nothing's felt right since Cael and Sophia died... but what would he say to him, what could he possibly say that wold make up for the fact that he failed him... and he failed the person that Cael loved.
"I'm sorry," he chokes out, eyes stinging with unshed tears, still unable to move any closer. "I let you down, I'm so sorry."
Not for long || Cael & Oliver
He had not yet heard someone calling out before. Only upon hearing a familiar voice right behind him, his attention was being diverted from his fading and shimmering to the person that said his name. He turned around and took his eyes to adjust to his surrounding until he saw him.
It was just like the old time and as if he never died in the first place, for a wide grin appeared upon his face. “Wallie!” He breathed out in a relief. Marching forwards from the platform only to come to an abrupt halt near the end of it, a few steps away from Oliver. Instead of showing him the sadness he felt he wasn’t able to get nearer to him, he would continue to smile, shaking his head.
"By the heavens. Seems like forever that I’ve seen you." he spoke. Remaining silent for only a few seconds until he would motion him over, waving to the side where he stood. "Come. Please."

-shrugs- I guess they didn't want to feel left out?

Anyway, his name was Anhur, another war God. It's not me you need to warn about being careful, it's Maahes, he's the one with the temper. -picks up a pen from Loki's desk and fiddles with it as he listens, when Loki mentions Fenrir he stills suddenly. Maahes stirs restlessly in his mind, reacting to the name and apparently not particularly happy about it- Oh... so your kids are making an appearance...?

Oliver's not sure how he got here. One moment he'd been alone in the flat, missing Corbin, and the next, he was here... He hates being alone now, his mind tends to wander which tends to leave him a complete mess.
He thinks maybe he'd started drinking on his own again, but he couldn't be sure, the waking world seems so far away to him now. He looks around the strange dream landscape with a feeling of wonder. It's surreal, but it isn't frightening to him, there's something familiar about it that he can't quite place.
As he wanders along he hears the voice call out and he frowns. That voice had sounded familiar... "Hello?" he calls back in answer, following the voice until he found the owner. Then he stops suddenly because he's sure he'd just seen a face he never thought he'd see again... but it's hard to tell, the image keeps flickering like a badly tuned television. "Cael...?" Oliver asks quietly, barely daring to hope.
Not for long || Cael & OPEN
Ares couldn’t remember the last time he had slept for longer than ten minutes. The moment he had lay himself down on the bed to read a book he plucked from Aset’s bookshelf he had fallen asleep before even being able to turn the first page of the book.
But the dream was familiar. As if he had been there before. He stood upon a mountain so high he could overlook the world, watch it from every angle, watch every person and he could even watch himself sleep, both of him. There was a ghastly wind that made him shiver and for a moment he felt alive. As if the cold made him feel human once more. As if his heart was beating for all the right reasons. And maybe it had. For while Ares was taking his slumber, an old friend had awakened, even if just for a short while and not for long
"Hello?" he spoke, and it was at that moment that he realised that his voice wasn’t the one he used in the last few weeks but it was from an old familiar. He took a gaze down upon his hand and let his eyes rest upon a silver ring that almost seemed glued against his skin, but his skin was twitching. Like a hologram on a screen, switching in between his two bodies. "What is this.." He asked out loud to himself looking around him in a confused matter, unaware that there was someone else sharing in his dream state.

-closes his eyes against the burn of unshed tears and leans into the touch, not realising just how much he needs the human contact- I let him down. Even after he's gone I keep letting him down... Gods I just wish I was stronger.

I miss him.
We're closed-- oh.

They started getting funny about the prices while you were out of commission... I say teach them a lesson.

Oh yeah, that reminds me. Maahes tried to enlist someone, another Egyptian. It... didn't go so well. Who's the new recruit?
