A bit of rant...
So I’ve been talking about this with a friend of mine and I kind need to get this out of my head.
First and foremost, let me just say that I love and adore JDM as much as the next person. The guy is gorgeous, he’s amazingly sweet and such an amazing guy. He’s such a wonderful person to be a fan of because he is so good to people that it’s amazing to see a celebrity be so good to people/fans.
BUT (and if this offends anyone, I am so very sorry) – there are people on twitter that I see that seriously take things way too far. I support people going to as many cons as they can. If it makes you happy I suggest doing it as long as you can! Hell, get as many autographs and photo ops as your heart desires. People being able to be happy is amazing. There is no better feeling in the world than to meet your idol and have them be so good to you, but there are people on twitter who seriously I think take things a bit far. I’m constantly seeing a group of people that are commenting on how much Jeffrey Dean Morgan loves them. How Jeffrey Dean Morgan is in love with them. How they are a legit ship and they are so cannon because Jeffrey Dean Morgan is in love with them and he is the only love of their of life, etc.
Jeffrey Dean Morgan tells all of his fans that he loves him. Jeffrey Dean Morgan goes out of his way for all of his fans. He’s sweet to everyone. If you tell Jeffrey Dean Morgan you love him, he’s going to tell you he loves you too. Because JDM is a celebrity that appreciates everyone that is a fan.He hugs so many people. At cons if you watch him, he pretty much hugs EVERYONE. He’s a touchy feely kind of guy. He’s someone that is just super fucking nice, but these girls that legit act like he is head over heels in love with them are kind of disrespectful and kind of childish. This guy is married. He has a wife and two kids. Who he clearly loves very much. Jeffrey Dean Morgan is not in love with these fans. He loves the fans, I’m not saying he doesn’t–I’m just saying the people he’s in love with is his family.
I kind of feel bad for JDM to a sense that I think him being nice has attracted people that honest to God believe they have some kind of relationship with him. Or they act out inappropriately toward him. The Jeff and Norman event kind of showed that and these girls on twitter honestly do too. It kind of makes me feel gross as a fan when I see people that act like that and they give no regard to his wife and kids.
Sorry for venting, but some fans seriously make me shake my head sometimes. It’s just sad.
