let's be real for a second: fusebox isn't going to listen to our opinions anyways.

But I obviously took the survey just to be sure, and I'd like to share my "What would you like to see in the new seasons?" answer. I'd love to hear your thoughts or if you have anything to add.

(Don't judge this is my first post)

- Fewer diamond options = having to spend fewer diamonds (it makes me consider not playing anymore)

- Fewer scenes where people want to drag us away to have one-on-one conversations

-The love interests having their own personalities/different things happening/conversations depending on the LI

-better female love interests

-slow-burn romance options

-love interests/other characters not acting like they are married off after being paired up for a few days/weeks

-Love interests who are there just for fun/who might be distant due to uncertainty regarding whether or not they are deserving of love (slow burn??)

- love interests who are sassy (not in a cringey way)

-love interests who don't actually want to be there

-love interests that just want the money

-the possibility of coupling up with friends (to prevent being dumped)

-Teaming up and pretending to be a couple to fool everyone to win!!! (Maybe they fall in love?)

-angst!!!!!!

- Female love interests that are like Angie (the best love interest to ever exist)

- A female love interest who is like Kat (maybe she's in denial about being attracted to women?)

- Female love interest who has internalised homophobia/makes comments towards the player -> character development

- Please stop always creating a female character that hates the Player (I swear they're basically the same person over and over again).

-The possibility that unlikable characters actually talk it through with the Player (ONCE!!!) instead of reverting to the same behavior repeatedly

- Better-looking and free character customization

- Better and more free clothing options

-The possibility of getting compliments for our outfit even if we didn't choose a "diamond" option.

-other characters having multiple outfits

- having actual best friend options (not being forced to be friends with someone)

-being able to be besties with guys

-being able to just be friends with Love interests

- Being able to actually turn down love interests (make two options for turning someone down that sound the same but mean different things: I'm not interested (don't ask again); I'm not interested (might change my mind if you ask again)).

->These options should be available not just the first time, but every time someone makes a move on you

-every love interest being obsessed with the Player when she's locked in with her partner/someone else (stop making everyone act like they are in love with us and then they turn around and reassure their partner how badly they want them when the player doesn't choose them/turns them down (it makes every character seem disloyal and makes people want to stop playing).

-Again: make a female love interest like angie!!!!!!

-more Angst!!!!!!!!!!!!!

-please make another character like hamish

-please, please, please make (obvious) arab/south asian love interests/characters in general

-more country options for our character

-more and better career options (stop making the same ones over and over again)

-LET OUR CHARACTER HAVE A FLESHED OUT BACKSTORY

-PLEASE let us have a 'survey' before the first episode really begins where we can answer questions about our character (many options) that influence/define our backstory (not questions like 'what's your type on paper' more like 'what's your relationship with your parents')

-take more time to fully flesh out the story -> don't immidiently upload another season after the end of the last one-quicker Updates maybe (wednesdays AND sundays/saturdays or two episode at once)

-older love interest options (MOMS!!)

-let us maybe already have children

-being able to choose our age

-LET US HAVE A DISTINCT PERSONALITY (players can have different personalities that influence our choices and journey in the villa/how other perceive us), stop making the MC the same in every season (personalities: bubbly, laid back, unlikeable/just outright rude (no one likes us), nice/people pleaser/doormatt, etc.)

-bigger variety in ages (other characters)

-clothes: streetwear, (lacoste, adidas, etc.) tracksuits, traditional clothing options, elegance (not tacky/ugly glitter dresses), y2k (ayesha erotica), juicy couture, more and better sneaker options (i just want EVERYONE to be able to express themselves and not just always the same style of clothing)

I think I’m done with this community. Some of you are racist and anti-Black as fuck. Some of you use the Black LIs EVERY season to get to who you want. Why? The LIs share the same dialogue 90% of the time. The Black men all look different from each other, have different personalities. So, why? People even claimed Jin and Jack were much too sweet to hurt, but Oakley somehow wasn’t. Funnily enough he was the only OG who didn’t have a fit when mc doesn’t pick him. The same people then used Shawn. Wtf?!? And now y’all are doing it to Henri. Why?

Rhetorical question because I already know the answer.

I’ve even seen people say Fusebox should’ve used one of the white guys for Stefan. Seriously? We finally have a main route featuring a Black man and you want to swap him out for a white man? That’s your suggestion? Not editing him, changing him up a bit but swapping him out for a white character.

And then y’all have the audacity to reblog call out posts or posts talking shit about Reddit. Lmao. YOU ARE PART OF THE PROBLEM.

And I’m so irritated which is why my post isn’t eloquent and may be all over the place. I’m just disappointed, yet another community. I’m done.

All Stars (S9) Future Islanders

Now that the episodes have been released, I've been able to dig around in the game files.

It's possible that they'll add more as the season goes on, but so far this is what I've been able to find. It could also be placeholder to throw dataminers off, so do with this information what you will.

MAJOR SPOILERS UNDER THE CUT!!

Right off the bat, there are no islanders from Seasons 1-3. I guess that was to be expected but it's still disappointing.

For upcoming girls, Grace, Kelly and Uma are all in the game files.

For boys we have Cassius, Zeph, Eddie and Marshall.

There's also islanders named Jude, Lyle and Stefan in the game files. I'm assuming these are from other franchises that we haven't seen before.

ALSO the Casa Amor assets are included, so it's possible that we're getting Casa this season? Again it could be placeholder so idk.

I just know the worst part about all stars with these new people is that they're gonna have history outside of the Villa or in their previous season and it's gonna be hidden behind a paywall

i really don't think Fusebox should've prefaced the name of season 9 with "all stars," if the trend of new faces continues..

maybe they could've named it "second chance," 👀 that way, the arc of returning islanders we've never seen still makes sense with whatever they've gotten written down already

really, it's another blunder by Fusebox, and we're left to pick up the pieces once again 🥴

Playing season 8 to get ready for all stars , why’s it kinda good ( I’m on ep 7 )

I need to speak on this because it’s happened far too many times and seems to be a recurring pattern with Fusebox.

It’s really shameful and disheartening to see how often Fusebox puts black women characters into couples with people that don’t actually like them, and proceeds to villainize them in the eyes of MC/other characters in the game.

We’ve seen it in S2 with Hope being loyal to Noah then getting disrespected by him when he confessed to MC in the end.

We’ve seen it with Grace in S6, sticking with Ozzy although he’s disrespected her and clearly wasted her time by staying with her when he was pining for MC all along. And even when he does tell her he’s not interested anymore, she does everything in her power to “win him over” instead of allowing her to rightfully look elsewhere for love.

And if you’re going the Jin route in S8, it happens with Luna. Jin doesn’t want her but he sticks around to spare her feelings. She embarrasses herself trying to win him over only to get booted off the show.

Next, they love to turn them into the “mean ones” by getting upset with MC/defending their relationship when romance (often initiated by the one they’re coupled up with) strikes.

Then they’re the enemy and everyone is waiting for them to be voted out of their game.

Yeah, sure, they’re just characters. It’s just a game. But it blows my mind, especially seeing this as a black player, that time and time again they’ve done this with the black women characters in the exact SAME way:

1. Couple with someone that’s not interested

2. argue/be a jerk to MC/refuse to take hints that their love interest doesn’t like them

3. do acrobatics to win said love interest over

4. get heartbroken, kicked off

If you’re going to put black women in your show, is it too much to ask them to be respected? To be deserving of a happy ending too? Reflect on how you’ve been representing black women, Fusebox.

Then do better.
