I couldn't sleep so here's a really quick doodle of Oliver and Claire (and Hwaboon ofc) to celebrate my favourite musical of the season winning the Tony for Best Musical! (amongst others).

maybe happy ending really is more than the romance though. it’s about chronic illness, isolation, ptsd, possibly sexual harassment, abandonment, autism, finding your purpose and personality beyond someone else, and so much more. it really is just a show about life, which isn’t that rare in musical theater but it’s told so beautifully in mhe. but most importantly it’s about jazz

At the June 11, 2025 matinee, Daniel May performed in place of Dez Duran with barely two hours advance notice! It was the first time Daniel had ever sung on stage. He did just fine.

The stage managers even changed the record album covers, so Daniel's image was on them instead of Dez!

I loved Maybe Happy Ending. It challenged me, hurt my heart at times, and is just an outstanding show. Darren so deserved his Tony! Helen should have been nominated. Gorgeous acting, lovely songs, incredible sets, and set design. Kudos to the Tony Award voters for recognizing all this excellence. My heart is full.
