Here I have created a photoshoot of a location that I found whilst going for a walk with my dad and sister. The way that I created this shoot was by taking images of the abandoned ships on my phone as I was unaware of what I would discover whilst out. Due to an accident that happened before coming across the hidden mystery I had no issue getting into the water to gather images of all angles of the mystery. When I had come across the ships I thought that it could relate to my conspiracy project where object disappear and are later discovered. When I had come across the ship I had so many questions. Why is this here? What happened? Wy hasn't it been cleaned up? Who does it belong to? Things like this has always interested me the reasoning behind abandonment. I was amazed by the way it was out of the way and full of surprises. I was also amazed by how clear and how much colour the water had after statistics have proven that the solution has decreased making the sea clearer and bluer. Although unfortunately I found a mass amount of plastic that had come into the ship and been left to decompose with has left an odour of mouldy eggs. Unfortunately this shoot doesn't have a meaning behind it because it was something last minute and something that I had discovered unexpectedly. Although I did enjoy this shoot because I was surprised by what I had discovered and was pleased by the outcome of my photos. Although the thing that I would like to improve on for next time would be to take my camera down to the shoreline so I can improve on the quality of the images that will be produced and be able to spend more time down their to get images on the other side of the ship to be able to show the engine that still remains in the ship which can be briefly seen in my images if you know what your looking for. The target audience for this photoshoot would be all genders aged between 20-25 because I feel that it will appeal to a younger audience because of the colours and what is featured in the images as I feel an older audience wouldn’t be interested in abandoned ships/boats. If I had he time I would redo these images better by using a camera and getting into the water so I am able to get images of the other side of the ship/boat.

Here I have been practising my make up skills in terms of making bruises and black eyes. I have been practising on others because I want to create a shoot that raises awareness for domestic abuse and make a poster like outcome where it shows people that it still happens and we need to speak out together to stop and help people safely. Therefore in a few days time I will be trying to create a photoshoot from these practise make up tries. The way that I had created these was by using neutral colour within a make up palette where I also used a maroon colour to add shadowing into the images. Although the thing that I would improve on would be blending out shades so it doesn't look so ‘blocky’. Here fore I struggled t a degree with this practise try of make up as I was hoping to be at college for this were I would have asked the media group to help me create a realistic make up.

Recently this week I have come across these articles that have come to my attention. Unfortunately they weren't positive they were about the rise of domestic abuse during isolation due to the coronavirus. Where women have been found upon their home with serious injuries and trauma and the amount of calls have increased during the isolation meaning more women are more exposed to the abuse. Although another post that had caught my attention was a post on Facebook where a presenter had written a helpline for domestic abuse upon her hand for people who are in need of it. These stories are the reason why I have decided to look into domestic abuse for my project because I want to raise awareness for how serious that this situation is and how you can get help.

Here I have created an inspired piece by Daryna Barykina and The Invisible Man (2020). Here I have created a digital manipulation on PhotoShop where I sourced a few portrait images of models on Google Images because I was unable to produce some images for myself. Therefore I uploaded these images into PhotoShop where I used the smudge brush tool which allowed me to manipulate the images to my accord I then decided to swipe across the face in particular areas because I wanted to show the eyes because I felt the eyes have a piercing look that seems to make people feel uncomfortable. The meaning behind the inspired piece is ‘invisible wounds’ which represents how being abused always leaves it mark on someone whether its physical or mental some victims claim that it later plays a problem with them in relationships which results in trust issues. The smudge tool presented across the face represents chains where it still has a strain on some survivors in the later future. With this inspired piece I wanted to get across the image that no matter what happens to the victim it always with them to a degree and affects them in certain areas of their life. I enjoyed this process because it’s something different and I am able to get my message across and I enjoyed putting my images into black and white because they add character to the images that show seriousness. Although the thing that I would like to improve on would be able to use my own images which would add more affect to my work. The target audience for this piece is all genders of all ages because it affects and appeals to everyone whether it is the abuser or the victim because it shows what no mater what you say or do it always sticks with the victims and affect their life in way you wouldn’t think of.

Invisible man Movie 2020
Recently I have watched the newly released film produced by Blumhouse. During watching this film I had noticed various signs that were being presented within the film which all started at the beginning of the film. Therefore it started off with showing the main character Cecilia Kass played by Elisabeth Moss where she was trying to flee her abusive boyfriend (Adrian Griffin) where she was later picked up by her sister and confessed what he had been doing to her. She expressed how he would control what she ate, wore, acted and thought after showing a scene where she was staying at a friend and was convinced to go out and get the post from the front yard but was convinced and paranoid he was waiting outside for her. She proceeded to walk slowly outside to get the post and managed to reach the letter box where she heard a man innocently jogging towards her and panicked ran back inside throughout the film she proceeded to show signs of paranoia. Therefore from watching this I thought this was a great way to express and highlight the after affects that an abusive relationship has on someone once they have left the relationship. Also, I felt it was a good way to show to how people are abuse and how it isn't always leave a relationship and what happens after they have left the relationship as side effects and what could happen after such as revenge and stalking becomes involved. The reason I have decided to choose this as research because it really shows how hard it is to leave an abusive relationship wether its physical or emotionally. Therefore because of this film I have felt inspired and would like to create something inspired by this film that shows the mental side of the an abusive relationship but unfortunately where I have been self isolating I am very restricted in outcomes that I will be able to produce.

Ray Rice
Ray Rice is an American footballer who has played in many major league games until March 2014 where he was banned from playing football after some images emerged of him and his girlfriend where he had punched her in an elevator where it caused her to become unconscious but when the door open he then dragged her unconscious body put of the elevator by her feet into the hotel lobby where it was caught upon CCTV within the hotel where they were staying in. After these images emerged he was struck from ever playing football again within the NFL. Although in 2018 he was featured within a TMZ interview alongside his wife where they addressed serious questions that had been asked by the public about their relationship and why she had stayed with him where the incident happened a few weeks before their wedding. The TMZ walked into the interview with her guard up where she asked Ray question such as what was going through his mind and should he get a second chance in football. Where he answered by claiming he didn’t like the person he was at the time. of the attack and he believes that he shouldn’t get a second chance at football because his second chance was by staying with his now wife. The presenter then asked his wife why she gave Ray a second chance? Where she then replied by saying she knew that wasn’t him in that moment and she loved him and they are going to counselling for their marriage and that time was the only time that he had hit her. Although she also claimed that she believed that she was in a normal relationship where they argued and wasn’t made to think about it until she was forced to which makes me believe that she was in an abusive relationship because she had been with him since they were 15 which hasn’t given her the chance to experience a normal healthy relationship because she has been with one person since then. When I was watching the interview I didn’t see anything that would make me believe what he was saying he meant it although whilst he was answering the question I focused my attention on his wife because she looked drained, defeated and angry because of her body language and her facial expression to me she looked she was being controlled and upset that she has to talk about it and maybe be careful about what she says. This is just my opinion.

Daryna Barykina.
Daryna Barykina is a self-portraiture photographer from Ukraine. Throughout her years working in photography her work has been exhibited in Creative Head (UK) salon news Asia (Taiwan) and America salon (USA). Daryna created a series of images called ‘Bruised behind the mask’ where she created a series of images inspired by domestic abuse cases of Ray Rice where he knocked his fiancé unconscious and where he then dragged her unconscious body out of an elevator which was caught by CCTV. Daryna created these images because when she moved from Ukraine to the US she. Noticed the amount of tragic social impact this country had but was surprised by the amount of people who talked about the situation. The meaning behind these series of images are thee models are porcelain dolls where whenever they are abused their face crack so the more they are abused the more the more their face crack where they are resorted to gluing their faces together to make sure that they keep up their appearance so that no one notices what’s going on behind closed doors. But the doll can only take so much until they are crack so much they cannot be fixed. I fully understand these images and respect the meaning behind it because I am unable to relate but I feel the pain behind it and respect everything these images present. I really enjoyed looking into these images because they are different, unique and raise awareness for people suffering in silence. There isn’t anything that I don’t like because they are different because they are impactful and give the message across and raise awareness. I think the target audience for these images would be everyone because anyone can be an abuser although the female domestic abuse cases are higher it doesn’t mean it’s just men being the abusers. Therefore, I think that the target audience for this are everyone because everyone should be told and be made aware of what’s happening. This is something that I would like to recreate because I feel that it relates to my project and I will be able to take my own approach to the series of images.

Evaluation.
Design Brief.
The design brief asked us to create something that was inspired by ‘Aliens’ where we were able to create a project on our desired topic that had relation to aliens. The project brief asked us to explore and experiment within the project to create inspired and experimental pieces.
Proposal.
My idea that I had decided on for this ‘Alien’ project would be conspiracy theories. I had come up with this idea of conspiracies because I feel that they are very alien because they bend the truth or expose it and it changes everything that we believe in because we are told to think that it's this way because we have been taught this and I wanted to look into the different type of conspiracies because they interest me because they are different and alien to me because they explain things that I have never thought about something in that way. The research that I had done for this project was by watching documentaries, videos and searching the Internet for people’s opinions and relevant theories. Along the way I had created primary research by creating a questionnaire for piers and the internet to take part and express their opinions. The way that I had decided to plan my time was by creating a timetable and writing a weekly review within my journal to make targets for myself and that I keep to them to make sure that I stay on track within my timetable.
Research and knowledge.
The secondary research that I had completed was by watching documentaries, videos and by searching the Internet for theories that I felt was relevant or that had shocked me the most. I had looked into documentaries for my Britney Spears conspiracy theory of when she tragically had her breakdown in 2007 where she admitted she was being controlled by her management alongside the harassment of the paparazzi. Alongside looking on the internet I created some primary research by creating a questionnaire about conspiracies where I had got mixed answers by different ages which I think helped me by seeing peoples reviews due to their age. My secondary and primary research informed me because I was able to take my project in the new direction and try something new and different. My research also helped me understand my project idea better and be able to understand and get my message across.
New Learning.
During this project the new learning that I had discovered in this project was by kindling previous knowledge such as remembering how to create certain techniques through Photoshop and remembering how to problem solve when trying to replicate an inspired piece of something that I had created in previous years. Also, during this project, the new skills that I had learn was coming time keeping and improvising when I wasn’t able to get into the studio because as time as gone on I have forgotten some knowledge of how to set up shoots.
Problem Solving.
The problems that I came across in my experimental work would be being able to get into the photography studio to create experimental pieces which resulted me into improvising and creating other pieces. Also, when creating experimental work, I overcame some problems that involved in having me to draw or paint which I didn't like because I'm not very good at art techniques because my inability to draw. Although I also came across problems wen planning to create my final piece which was creating an inspired piece of Hugh Cunningham because I had to think of how I could create something similar to his work but also have my own take and meaning behind it all. When creating my final piece had to problem solve on how I could replicate the staining look. Although as the project progressed I had come across many problems such as time because I still had shoots plans but I never got around to creating the shoot. Also, I started to run out of ideas to create experiments from because I couldn’t take it anywhere because it was a hard topic to go upon although I already knew this but I stuck with my idea because I like a challenge and wanted to push myself to work with it and try to prove myself. Also coming across primary and secondary research was hard to come upon from things that weren’t already repeated from a previous site. Although I never come across any ethical problem’s agony the way.
Audience.
My audience for this project is young people all genders between the age of 18-25 because I felt that it appealed to a younger audience because of its relevance and some older people’s attitudes towards it such as shutting it down and say were exaggerating and being stupid. Also, I wanted it to be more aimed towards young people because i feel my work is more appealing to a younger audience also its an awareness project to be careful what you believe in and to be careful. The way that I have communicated to my target audience through my final piece was by making it obvious what it is and by rating awareness to be careful and speak up if you believe you may be infected or if you know someone who is. Also, the way that I feel I have communicated to my audience is by creating something relevant and awareness raising. Although posting it through my blog I feel that the display appeals to lots of people because its accessible to everyone so that anyone and everyone can view it and express their views upon it. As I feel that I have an advantage because I can gather feedback from people of all ages and opinions.
Existing knowledge.
During my project I was able to rebuild on previous skills such as time management and Photoshop skills. I was bale to rekindle my Photoshop skills by editing and creating experimental pieces. Although working on my time management skills was not as successful because I was unable to stick to my timetable and I was unable to create as experimental pieces as I would have liked because of accessibility. Although I was pleased to be able to rebuild on my editing skills which I think really helped me because I was bale to follows steps from people or remember how to create pieces and think of other possible shoots or experiments.
Time.
During my project I planned my photoshoots and weekly reviews therefore I think that I planned my project well but not as well as I could have because the lack of experiments and time keeping. Although I had created a timetable I found it hard to stick to it because of being given tasks and being able to create something that related to project theme. Also the lack of accessibility of getting into the studio really had a stain on my project because of being able to get into the studio due to other classes being booked in at the same time.
Recourses.
During my project I was given many workshops showing different techniques but I didn’t take these in because of there relevance to my project because I was unable to fit them into my project because they didn't relate to my project because I was I failed to see how I could revamp them into something that I could make create to my project theme because of how different they were from my project because it were inspired by gender, fashion and alienation which didn’t relate to my project because of how far away it was from what I was doing but I also all the lessons to try and create something that I could reset to my project which I felt didn’t really work.
Successes.
Although through the many problems I had with my project I was able to create some pieces that I was pleased and happy with such as my typography pieces and creating the abandoned shoot of the caravan that me and my dad explored. I feel that everyone worked well because it all came together and made me create my final piece which I wouldn’t have been able to create without them. Through my project I enjoyed creating my typography, photo shoot and my final piece because I feel that they all come together and I'm happy with my progression of experimental pieces.
Improvements.
I think the less successful piece of my project would be the lack of experiments and artist/inspired pieces. This is because I found it hard to final artists/photographers that create pieces from conspiracy theories. Therefore, I think areas that I need to rethink is if I think where I can take my project and how I am going to be able to look into how I'm going to be able to create a final piece. Also, the areas that I think I need to also improve on is being able to create experimental pieces and finding artists that work for me. Therefore, I want to be able to get into the studio more often to create experimental and inspired pieces towards my project.

Here I have gathered some primary research where I created a pie chart of a questionnaire that I had made and gathered feedback upon. This questionnaire was about conspiracy theories that I have looked into or thought upon. Here I have gathered a range of feedback from a variety of different individuals of different ages and genders. I liked this process because I was able to give out this questionnaire and look into peoples opinions. Although the thing that I would improve on is the amount of time I could have left it out for so that I would have been able to get a larger response from people.

Trigger warning some images/stories maybe upsetting. Read with caution.
Here are a few images of when I visited an exhibition at Solent University where they displayed images of artists who have created pieces of Syrian refugees of their journey into getting refugee. These pieces were created to express these tragic stories by outlining the people in the story and painting their outline. Although some of the bodies don't have faces on them because it’s seen as disrespectful and also to save the identity of the models but some of the bodies do because they have painted famous refugees onto them so that their identity is kept secret. Each painting has a different story behind them for every different family. During the tour of the exhibit there was a wall where you could draw around your hand and tell your story where a large variety paid tribute to a lost one or they expressed their story.
