“On the bright side, cannabis can’t kill,” he remarked in response, his cheerful grin and glassy eyes a tell-tale sign that he was just as baked as she was.  “Besides, if Snoop Dogg can smoke weed everyday, why can’t we all?  Anyway, you’re damn right about the cookie.  Do you think it tastes as good as it looks?”

“So I may have over done it on the legal weed..” Liv giggled as she pointed to the chocolate chip cookie behind the counter, “But I mean, how fucking delicious does that cookie look?!” “Since moving here I haven’t been able to stop smoking,” The girl admitted. Back home, she’d always enjoyed a casual smoke but since moving to the weed capital of the world, it’s gone to an all new level.

“Tragic,” Ollie expressed. “I mean it; that’s, like, Hamlet-level tragedy.  That’s one of the worst burns I’ve ever heard.”  He was trying his best to hold in his laughter, but he wasn’t quite succeeding.  “What did you do to warrant such an insult, anyway?”

“ i had a teenage girl today tell me i was a human version of a graphic tee from forever 21. and, i just.” he sighed, dramatically, “ that’s the worst i’ve ever been roasted, coming from a guy who regularly get’s made fun of in yelp reviews for being ‘the crazy flower-shop worker who plays podcasts for his plants’.”

“Well, at the very least, you like one good band.” He reasoned, lips twitching up into a smile.  “Although I can’t really comment on the rest of your music taste, seeing as I don’t know anything about you.  It’s funny you should mention piano, though.” He shrugged nonchalantly, inwardly wondering if he could somehow use his piano talents as a bargaining chip.  It seemed unlikely to Ollie that the other would simply give up the CD at his request, even if he did offer something in return.  No, he would have to go about this another way—he’d have to be charming as fuck.  “I took piano lessons for most of my life.  Perhaps I could teach you?  If you’re up for it, that is.”

Felix’s eyes shifted from its cover to the source of the voice. “Oh, do I have good taste in music?” He tilted his head a bit in playfulness, a teasingly narrow smile on his countenance, before candidly resuming conversation: “I like a fuck-ton of ‘manufactured pop’ too; but I love the way this band only uses real instruments. I’ve always wanted to learn how to play the piano like their lead vocalist.” He tucked aforesaid CD in a folded arm; it wasn’t something Felix would relinquish, although he’s willing to stay a little longer for the other.

“Fair enough.” He decided with a nod.  “I guess it’s just not the sort of thing I bother putting effort into—there probably aren’t too many people in the world who give a shit what I’m eating, anyway.  Especially since my diet is mostly just pizza.” He punctuated his sentence with a shrug. “Anyway, what other sorts of stuff do you take pictures of?”
