MANJIRO looks at you, and only you. when you’re in the same room as him, the only trajectory followed by his eyes is that which conducts to you. he has a strong aura around him and is feared my most, but next to you he sorta becomes like a puppy: sweet and caring, never letting his eyes off of you. he likes to do the little everyday things with you, riding together on his bike, eating at a fast food, watching the sunrise/sunset at the beach. but you know that life with him will never be boring because everyday he looks at you with eyes full of love and everyday he seems to have fallem for you harder than ever.

KEN is another who’s feared by many people. but you were one of the few who got the privilege of seeing his sweet/soft/caring side. although he might seem flustered most of the times, he really loves you dearly and would get you the moon if you ever asked for it. when you ask him to go out, he takes you on little dates and thinks man this is so lame, i bet they won’t like it. but you remain quite positively surprised on every outing of yours. he might be seen as a sort of unsurmountable wall, but with you he becomes a soft fluffy cloud.

HANEMIYA used to be quite anxious around people, never thus finding someone he could feel comfortable with to the max. but when the two of you met, oh it was as if his whole world crashed, dissipated and appeared again from zero. everytime he looks at you, he wonders why you’d chosen to love someone flawed like him when you could probably have gotten better. the gaze he reserves to you is veiled with an unbetrayable love and affection and he knows that you are the one.

TAKASHI is used to taking care of people. having two younger sisters who needed care since he was really young, he really got used to do everything. but when you started worrying for him and caring for him the way he thought he should’ve done to you, he realized the depth in which his feelings were rooted. sometimes he filled his head with nervous thoughts, things like you’d leave when you’d find better or that he isn’t worthy of you and your love. but when you repeatedly tell him that you’ll stay forever, he trusts you. because he knows the weight of a forever and that of a promise.

A/n: Decided to make this three parts since it would've gone to 4000 words if I didn't😅.

The three boys gasped for air as they ran into the hospital.Chifuyu fell to his knees,sweat rolling down his forehead as he tried to catch his breath.The three looked around the hospital,trying to spot a nurse.The first one to speak up was Baji,with a bit of difficulty of course

“L-Let’s hurry”

“W-What do we do Baji?S-She’s not moving”Kazutora stuttered,eyes wide in fear as he started at Baji

“Don’t panic Kazutora,It’ll be fine”the raven assured as he looked around for a nurse.A nurse passing by rushed to where the boys stood and eyed them before her eyes landing on you.She gasped

“She-s been stabbed nurse,p-please save her”Kazutora pleaded as the nurse waved for a few others to come over.Two other nurses ran over,pushing a stretcher over to where Kazutora stood

“Y-You’ll save her wont you?”he asked as the nurse gently removed you from Kazutoras arms

“We’ll do our best,She’s lost quite a bit of blood already”the nurse answered,rushing you to the ER

“W-Wait (f/n)!”Kazutora yelled,chasing after the nurses until the door slammed on his face.Baji pulled the male back by his shoulder and turned him around

“Calm down! She’ll be fine-”

“And what if she’s not?Then what Baji?!”the two toned male yelled,causing Baji and Chifuyus eyes to widen.Baji grit his teeth in anger and before Kazutor had time to react he felt the ravens fist collide with his cheek,causing him to stumble and fall down

“Who’s fault do you think that is?!”Baji yelled,catching the attention of the people there

“Baji-san,please calm down”Chifuyu asked,trying to pull the male back by grabbing his arm

“Not now Chifuyu,I need to knock some sense into him”

“You don’t know how much she’s been putting up with just for you.I've been telling her what you wanted me to tell her.What are you trying to accomplish by hurting her?Saying stuff like ‘I’m not good enough for you’ and shit like that!Give me a break! I’d make her happier than you ever could!”Baji yelled.Kazutora looked at the male,eyes widening at what his childhood friend said.He stood up,head held low.He slowly lifted his head up,fists balled up as he ran to the male,punching him right across the cheek

“That’s all you can do?”Baji taunted,punching the males other cheek.Kazutora grit his teeth in both pain and anger,bringing his fist to punch the male once more before Baji successfully held his fist with his hand

“Punching me won’t solve all this Kazutora” the two toned males eyes teared up,his spare hand gripping the hem of Bajis white shirt

“I-I don’t know anymore,being in love is so painful yet beautiful.I’m scared of hurting her,I know that I’m not good enough for her and I keep trying to get her to hate me but all she does is love even the worst of me,I don’t know what she even likes about me.You’re right,you’re a better match for her than I’ll ever be.I got angry at you because you were right,I know that you’re right... but”he paused,tears streaming down his face as he struggled to collect his words

“I still love her so much! I don’t want this to be our last conversation! I want to talk about my day with her,about my favourite movies and comics,about my favourite spots to visit.I want to take her to places that I hold dear and I want to go to places that she cherishes,I want to hear her embarrassing stories and I want her to hear mine as well.I want to smile and laugh with her,as if there’s not a single worry in the world.I want to hold her close and tell her how much she means to me”he sobbed,collapsing onto the males shoulder.Baji sighed,ruffling the males hair

“Then tell her all this when she’s awake idiot”he smiled,hitting the males head.Kazutor let go of the raven,wiping away his tears before smiling at him

The three sat there,impatiently tapping their feet as they waited for the news.After about two hours,one of the nurses that carried you on the stretcher walked out.Her eyes landed on the three boys and she made her way to them.The three stood up,eagerly waiting for a reply

“H-How is she?”Kazutora asked,breaking the tense atmosphere

“She-”the nurses started as the boys gulped,impatiently waiting

“She’ll be fine,She need to rest for a week or two”she announced,smiling as the boys fell to the floor

“I told you she’ll be fine!”Baji stated as Chifuyu nodded in agreement

“She’s resting but one of you could go see her if you’d like?”the nurse offered and Kazutoras eyes lit up,looking over at Baji and Chifuyu for approval.The two nodded and Kazutora stood up as the nurse escorted him to where you were resting

“Baji-san…...the thing about you being a better match for (F/n)....do you like her by any chance?”Chifuyu questioned after he saw Kazutora disappear out of sight

“Ah that?I was joking-”

“It’s okay Baji-san,I won’t tell anyone about it”the blonde assured

“W-What are you trying to-”

“I saw the letter on your table in your room Baji-san,you wanted to confess by giving that to her right?”Bajis face burned red.He averted his eyes elsewhere and nodded,avoiding eye contact with the blonde

“You're way too nice Baji-san…...you could’ve confessed to her”

“It’d be rejected immediately.I know how much she loves Kazutora,there’s no way I'll ruin what those two have.I wouldn’t be happy if I had to see Kazutora suffer because of me”he confessed.Chifuyu looked at the male,eyes widening bearing they teared up.He immediately lunged forward and hugged the male,causing the raven to blush

“You’re a true man Baji-san! I’ll follow you forever!”He yelled as the raven blushed harder

“Idiot,let go”he tried pushing the male away but the blondes grip on him only tightened

“I’m glad that I met you Baji-san!”Chifuyu confessed,a smile smile forming on his lips.Baji chuckled lightly

“Idiot,no need to get sentimental”he said,ruffling the blondes hair

Kazutora slid open the door the nurses ushered him to,eyes landing on your sleeping figure.A small smile made its way to his lips as he walked closer to see you.He slowly brought his right hand to your face,pausing before bringing it back to his side

“Is this really okay Baji? Is it okay for me to reciprocate her feelings?”he mumbled,bringing the spare stool next to your bed.He sat down and watched as your chest heaved up and down.His eyes trailed up and landed on your lips.A small blush made its way to his cheeks as his lips parted unconsciously.His face inched forwards to yours,hand reaching for your cheek as his eyes closed slowly

“Oi Kazutora! How is she?”a sudden voice called out and Kazutora immediately sat up,face beet red as he turned to see the Raven

“Oh?Did I interrupt something?”Baji teased,his sharp canines visible from the grin that spread across his face.Chifuyu grinned as well,bringing a hand to his lips

“Oh my! Was Kazutora trying to make a move on-”

“It’s nothing like that! Shut up you two”Kazutora barked,face still burning bright red.The two males laughed,clutching their stomach hard

“Hey we’re going to wake her up at his rate-”

“W-What are you three doing here?”you softly asked,sitting up as your eyes scanned the unfamiliar room.The boys turned their attention to you,a smile spreading across their faces.Before you could say anything you felt Kazutora bring your face to his chest,a hand on your head and another wrapping itself around one of your your shoulders

“I’m so glad that you’re okay”he whispered into your ear.Your face turned bright red at the sudden confession,unable to say anything.He let go and stood up from his seat next to you and made his way out of the room

“K-Kazutora wait-”you called but the other two interrupted your sentence by bringing you into a hug

“You really scared us (F/n)!”Baji yelled,grinning as Chifuyu nodded

“We’re so relieved that you’re okay”Chifuyu chimed in.You smiled and hugged back

“Thanks for your help you ou two!”you beamed as the three of you stayed like that for a few minutes before Baji pulled back

“Why don’t you rest now?We’ll come back later to visit”he stated as Chifiuyu nodded in approval

“W-What about Kazutora?”you asked as Baji chuckled

“He’s relieved that you’re alright,I’ll bring him along with me when I come again”Baji assured

“Rest well (F/n)”Chifuyu said,walking out first,The raven trailing behind him.Baji took one last glance at you before heading out.You waved at the boys before slowly lying back down,looking up at the ceiling and then closing you eyes to rest.

Kazutora stood outside your room,cheeks turning warmer than they already were

“W-What was I doing back there”He stuttered,face burning from embarrassment because of what he did.The male didn’t have enough time to ponder over what he did because a few seconds later the door opened,revealing a happy Chifuyu and Baji

“Oh! You were here all this time”Baji blurted out,grinning at the male

“Let’s come back later Baji repeated to Kazutora,walking past the male.Kazutora fumbled with his words,mouth opening and closing before nodding

"I'll tell her family too since they might be really worried about her-"Baji started before being cut short

"I'll do it,I was the one that got her into this mess in the first place"Kazutora stated.Baji chuckled before punching the males arm,making him groan in pain

"Look at you acting all tough"Baji teased as Kazutora blushed

"Let's meet here after you're done with that then"

author’s note — welcome back to another angsty koko of mine-

you knew the moment your heart beats for kokonoi hajime, you’re doomed. because his will never beat for you. not while he’s infatuated with your friend’s sister, and not after she’d passed on. she’s his first love, just like he is yours. when a part of him died away with her, you could feel nothing but heartbreak, for his pain is yours equally.

it was decided then that you’d keep your feelings to your grave, never to be uttered. except it didnt. the slip by your friend, the betrayed expression on his face and the rejection that followed justified with venomous ‘akane just died’ burned into you mind as you stood numb.

then, a blur of gold ran passed you, tackling koko to the ground with a cry, 'stop using my sister as an excuse to hurt s/o, you idiot!’. inui’s fist connected with his cheek multiple times in frustration, yet he did nothing to defend himself, accepting the beating as something he rightfully deserved.

'you think you’re the only one in pain?’, he shook him violently by the collar before bringing their faces close together, eyes wide with rage. ’s/o had been so patient with you all this time, and this is how you’re treating her? stop messing around!’. you sobbed a little harder in your hands as reality ruthlessly stabbed your heart.

'inupi, stop please’. your pleading come out weaker than you’d like. but before he could land another punch, koko grabbed his fist for the first time ever since the fight broke. 'stop talking like you know everything, damn it! you think i’d never trying moving on? you have no ideas how much akane’s death destroyed me!’.

his defensive scream then changed into a whimper, bloody face looking very much hurt and defeated, 'i didnt ask to feel this miserable’. in the tense silence, they panted heavily before inui shoved him aside and stood up wordlessly. his defeated expression matched his friend’s that he asked you to help patch up.

a while later, you rubbed alcohol soaked cotton ball on koko’s wound. from the corner of your eyes, inui stayed silent as he stared up at the sky. 'akane’, you attention fell back on the boy laying on your laps, 'she’s my first love. when she died, a part of me crumbled away with her as if i was in the fire too’.

his half-lidded eyes trained on you as he spoke, brows furrowing deeply, 'i dont want you to fall for someone as broken as me. you deserve better than that’. his body trembled ever so slightly as he covered his face with his hand, unable to look at you anymore, 'i just dont think i can ever return your feelings’.

looking at him so fragile like this, it drawn on you that this is the first time he’s being honest with the messy feelings he kept bottled up inside ever since akane’s passing. it reminded you of the sensitive boy you fell in love with in the first place. you cant bear to see him in pain any longer.

'you dont have to love me like akane. whatever your feelings are towards me, i will always love you’. koko peeked from the gaps between his fingers just in time to see a soft smile blooming across your lips. 'i just want you to be happy again. i’m sure thats what she’d want too’.

he let you remove his hand from his face as you leaned down close to him. 'so please dont worry about my feelings anymore’. touching your forehead with his, you breathed in the air he breathed out. with your eyes closed, you prayed that your heart stays strong for the both of you, as unfair as it will always be.

“I’m in love with you Kazutora!”a scream echoed through the corridors of where you confessed to your first and only crush of 10 years.Whispers could be heard from the people that watched the incident unfold in front of them.Some smiled,some blushed but most laughed.That really didn’t matter right now,it was your 10th confession to him so the embarrassment of confessing in front of a group of people was long gone.He smiled sweetly at you,causing your cheeks to get warmer

“You do?Why don’t you show me how loyal you are then?”he asked,sandly eyes staring into your (e/c) ones.You nodded hesitantly before waiting for a reply from the male.He tapped a finger on his chin before his eyes lit up,indicating that he had thought of something

“Why don’t you walk on all fours the rest of the day?Dogs are said to be the most loyal animals and I really love dogs”he beamed as the other students snickered.You grit your teeth in embarrassment

“W-Will you accept my feelings then?”you stuttered,slowly lowering yourself to the ground.The males eyes widened.He didn’t think you’d actually do it.Before you could place your hands on the floor the male grabbed your hand roughly,pulling you towards him.Your cheeks burned red as your body hit his firm chest.He dragged you to a secluded area of the school before letting go of your hand.Taking a step back,he sighed as he ran his fingers through his two-toned hair

“Why are you so persistent?I’ve already told you that I don’t see you like that”he stated.You flinched,eyes refusing the meet the males gaze.You felt a hand on your chin but before you could react the male turned your face to his,lips only inches away

“This is the 10th time you’ve confessed to me,i think it’s better if you find someone else to like”he said,eyes still staring into yours.You hesitantly opened your mouth to speak,cheeks turning even redder if that’s possible

“I-I know that you find it hard to trust people…...but I want to change that for you Kazutora.It’s not easy for me to get rid of these feelings”you confessed.His eyes widened,pink dusting his cheeks at your sudden confession.He hurriedly let go of you before turning his back to you

“It’s better if you stop this (f/n)......I’m not as nice as you think I am”he said before walking away to attend the next class.You stared at the male back as you watched him disappear.Sighing you fell to the grass,eyes tearing up for the 10th time.How many time would it take for him to like you back?Should you actually try liking someone else?It wasn’t as easy as he said it would be.You tried,you really did but all you could do was associate him with every other male you met.There was no way you’d be falling for anyone else anytime soon

Tears spilt out of your (e/c) orbs.What did you have to do to get him to like you back?To at least get him to understand that you wanted to help him.Little did you know that the male hand been watching you the whole time,eyes wide.He had decided to come back to see if you were alright only to see you in pain once again.He opened his mouth to say something but closed it.Gritting his teeth,he held his head low as he made his way back to class.Of course you weren’t alright,what kind of dumb question was that.

At Bajis place

“And he asked you to do that in front of everyone?”Chifuyu asked,eyes wide and mouth a gape as you nodded

“Sounds like something he’d say but he’s got a soft spot for women so why’s he so harsh on you?”Baji wondered,passing Chifuyu the peyoung yakisoba.You decided to go over to Bajis place since you thought that him and Chifuyu would give you a good solution….or so you thought

“Keep going (f/n)! Let’s get to 50 soon!”Baji cheered as Chifuyu nervously laughed

“50 sounds like too much Baji-san”the male admitted,watching your face grow palle.Baji got up from his seat at his bed and sat beside you on the floor.You looked at the male,confusion written all over your face as he opened his mouth to speak

“I’ll be very honest here,Kazutora hasn't been mentally stable for a while and we've suggested that he'd go for therapy but he’d only glare at us…...it’s been 3 years since that incident and I’m just worried that he might try it on you-”

“Kazutora would never do that!”you barked causing Baji to glare at you

“Open your eyes (F/n)! He’s the one that almost stabbed his father!”He yelled.You flinched at his tone.He was right,you were worried about that happening but never considered the possibility of it happening to you

“Baji-san,please give her some space”Chifuyu pleaded,pulling the male away from his seat next you

“Let go Chifuyu,she’s already been hurt by him too many times”he stated,breaking free from the blondes grasp

“Listen (f/n),think over it,that’s all I ask you to do.You can always find someone better than him”

you stood up from your seat on the floor and picked up your bag that laid near Bajis table,not trying to meet the males gaze

“I’m leaving,T-Thank you for the food”your voice cracked as you hurriedly opened his door but Baji reacted quicker.He harshly grabbed your shoulder and turned you around so that you could face him and Chifuyu only to see you in tears

His eyes widened and he turned to Chifuyu for what to say but the blonde only frantically shook his head

“I leave her to you Baji-san,I’m bad with girls”chifuyu confessed before proceeding to dash out of the room

“You little-”Baji barked

“It’s not your fault you two,I-I just need some time to think about it”you interrupted.Bajis grip on your shoulder loosened which gave you the chance to rush out the room

“Are you sure that she’ll be okay Baji-san?”Chifuyu questioned,plopping himself on Bajis bead

“I hope so,I’m only telling her what Kazutora told me to tell her.It’s obvious that he likes her so why hurt her so much?”Baji frowned as he took a seat at his desk

“Is it because he doesn’t want to hurt her even more?I’m sure he’s aware that he’s not mentally stable now so he doesn't want to do anything that may harm her further,though I feel like he’s hurting her even more right now..”Chifuyu commented.Bajis eyes widened before his harshly grabbed Chifuyus shoulder,casuing the male to freeze

“Chifuyu…...you can be surprisingly smart at times”Baji stated,causing the blonde to roll his eyes

“Says the guy who failed in math class”

“It was one time!”Baji roared,cheeks burning bright red as Chifuyu laughed louder

You sighed deeply,wiping your tear stained cheeks as you took the usual route home

“Bajis not wrong but what can I do..”you mumbled to yourself.Is it finally time that you focussed on someone else?How would Kazutora react?Would he be happy for you?All these questioned ran through your head while your dragged your feet along a nearby lake

“Bring it on you piece of shit! I can take all 5 of you at once!”A familiar voice yelled and you immediately whipped your head in the direction of the noise to see Kazutora facing off against 5 other delinquents from a local biking gang

“Kazutra!It’s dangerous!”you yelled,running towards to the male but he couldn't hear you.You panicked and ran faster only to stop in your tracks

You watched as he landed a swift kick to one of the delinquents stomach.The male clutched his stomach in pain as Kazutora proceeded to take down another male,leaving him unconscious by kicking him in the same area as the previous

“What’s wrong?Are you all scared now?You weren’t scared when you eyed up (F/n were you?”he grit his teeth in anger as he saw the other delinquents shudder in fear

Your cheeks burnt red at the sight of Kazutora fighting the delinquents

“He’s so cool”you breathed out.A scream brought you back to reality as you saw Kazutoras arm being held by two of the delinquents.You watched as the third delinquents punched his cheek.Your eyes widened as you watched in horror the act that unfolded in front of your eyes.Without even thinking twice you ran as fast as your legs could carry you to where Kazutora stood

“You think you’re so smart just because you took down two of us?”the male who punched him dung into his hand into his pocket and pulled out a pocket knife,smirking at Kazutora

“I’ll send you to the hospital once to teach you a lesson!”he yelled.Kazutora shut his eyes,waiting for the impact and all he could think about was how devastated you’d be to see him in the hospital

“I wish I could apologize to her at least once”he mumbled,eyes still closed

“What the-”the unknown delinquent yelled and Kazutoras eyes shot open only to be met by your (e/c) ones.Sweat formed on your forehead as you painfully smiled at the male

“A-Are you okay?”you asked,voice shaky as you felt your vision getting blurry

“W-What are you doing here?”Kazutora asked,eyes wide in shock as the male behind you yelled in horror

“I didn’t do it! It’s not my fault!”He yelled,hands clutching his head as he ran away.The two boys that were holding Kazutoras hands immediately let go of the male,running away in the same direction as the other delinquent.Kazutora stumbled a bit before catching his footing and looking at you

“L-Looks like they're g-gone”you panted,immediately bringing a hand to your mouth

“(F-F/n)! Why are you-!”his eyes widened in horror as he saw the pocket knife sticking out of your back.The males face turned pale as he panicked on what to do.Tears ran down his cheeks as he watched you struggle to stand up.You removed the hand that covered your mouth and opened your mouth only to spit out blood

“(F/N)! We need to call an ambulance!”he panicked,tears still streaming down his cheeks.He picked you up in his arms,being careful not to push the knife further into your back

“K-Kazutora…...you looked really cool while you fought them,Thank you for doing that for me”you mumbled before closing your eyes

“(F/n)? (F/n)!”Kazutora screamed as he ran to the road to search for help

“Oh!Isn’t that Kazutora?”Baji yelled,grinning at the two-toned male,waving at him.Chifuyu nodded at the male next to him and his eyes landed on Kazutora,eyes widening as he noticed something was wrong.Bajis grin was immediately replaced by a frown as hs spotted someone in Kazutoras arms

“Shit! Chifuyu let’s go!”he yelled as the two rushed to where Kazutora was

“Kazutora! What happened?”Chifuyu yelled as Baji only looked at your lifeless form

“S-She was stabbed just now! We need to get her to a hospital!”the male sobbed as Baji pulled out his phone from his pocket and dialed an ambulance

“Shit! No signal! The closest hospital is 5 minutes away so let’s run!”Baji suggested.Chifuyu nodded as he looked a Kazutra

“Kazutora! We don’t have any time to waste! Let me carry her.”he offered but the males grip on your figure tightened

“I-I’ll carry her”he stated as the three dashed to the hospital,Chufuyu trailing behind since he went to pick up your belongings

“PLease don’t die on me (F/n)”he mumbled

guilty and undeserving, thats what you felt as you showed akaashi a tin box the size of a book filled with unsigned love letters you've found in your mailbox since last week. on your carpeted floor, he studied the envelops before taking them out with your permission.

you knew the skyrocketing of your clumsiness in the past few days had caused great concern towards him. in only a short span of three days, you had soaked his research papers with steaming coffee, dropped your phone in the fountain in front of the library, and nearly break your neck from missing a step on the stairs more than once.

scrapping your knee after stumbling on the flat route back to your dorm was your last straw. and with the way the creases between his brows deepen, it was decidedly the time to come clean. 'do you have any guess on who the sender might be?', he eyed you curiously, first aid box placed by aside from bandaging your wound.

you looked down, 'i might be wrong, but the boy i tutored last week had invited me to join him for a party his friend's hosting-'. upon the look of disapproval on akaashi's face, you quickly explained that you turned down the invitation. he exhaled in relief, though the troubled look on his face remained.

from your window, evening sunlight filtered through your curtain and spilled on his feature, painting him red and orange. as you watched the vaporous breath blown softly through his every exhale, you wondered if you should tell him your wish for him to be the mysterious sender.

then, all the fear that had caused your clumsiness to worsen came clouding your mind. no word could express how precious his presence is in your university life. you couldnt possibly forgive yourself if your feelings towards him end the friendship you've worked so hard to keep.

'if these letters are causing so much trouble for you,' akaashi spoke suddenly, eyes trained on the bandaged knee of yours in front of him, 'i'll make sure they stop appearing in your mailbox'. you blinked in disbelieve, leaning forward closer to him, 'how could you stop him from doing that?'.

now that there was such a small space between you and him, you finally noticed how the evening sunlight had concealed the faint blush on his face. you held your breath, heart beating faster and harder. finally, his teal irises met yours, 'these letters are from me'.

you felt your mouth opening and closing, wanting to say something yet nothing came out. all this time, you were sure he's being nice to you like how he's nice to everyone else. now that the truth has been slapped to your face, you recalled the way he treated you with so much tenderness and care, something he never does towards any other girl.

meanwhile, akaashi gathered your letters and placed them back in the tin box before standing up to leave. panicking, you quickly raised from your bed, only to tumble forwards because of the sudden surge of pain from your injury. instead of falling to the floor, you fell on him who had moved to catch you in his arms. 'there goes your clumsiness again. i should have known not to send you those letters-'.

'please keep sending them!', you cut him, fists balling his shirt for balance and out of desperation. as you stood on tiptoe to get close to his face, your confession came in a whisper, 'i like you too, keiji'. your faces were a matching shade of red, but none of you moved or looked away. 'took you long enough, huh?', you felt him pulling you closer. it was a long wait indeed, but it was worth it, for the both of you.
