hey sorry not to be an asshole but I saw someone say that a sports team posting about pride month was "pandering" and I need you to log off and touch grass because now more than EVER it's important that large institutions (and especially those that could easily be right wing like sports teams) show the fuck up for queer and trans people. especially trans people. so no it is not "pandering" to take a stand for a marginalized group of people that are currently under attack for trying to play sports. be so fucking for real

We're supposed to get a heat wave soon so this is a reminder to everyone in extreme heat that in order to make all that water you're drinking effective, you need SALT! You need ELECTROLYTES! As you sweat and lose water, you need to be intaking water with salt so that you retain the water you're drinking and increase blood volume (aka keep your blood circulating so you don't ache anywhere or feel dizzy). Drink pickle juice or coconut water if you aren't a fan of electrolyte drinks.

Also remember that the fastest way to cool down in a pinch is to spray yourself with water/step under a cold shower and go in front of a fan/AC so the water evaporates. Humidity is dangerous because it can trap moisture on your skin and prevent your body from regulating its temperature. If you're noticing symptoms of heat exhaustion like dizziness, confusion, cramps, excessive sweating, take steps to cool down so the exhaustion doesn't become heatstroke. Stay safe and stay cool!!!
