Hey guys, this is Mack making a quick post here:

Sorry to say this so soon after reviving this blog, but posts/updates here are gonna be very, very slow going forward as my interest in Omori has been practically burned down to the base and I’m at a point where I need to take a break after it being the sole thing on my mind for a little over 3 years straight ^^; if I don’t, I’ll go insane.

With that said though, I’ll still keep the ask box open for people who still wanna send questions in (I sadly still have a draft from an ask several months ago and I am so sorry it’s been so long ;w;) but just don’t expect them to get answer to right away or be accompanied with art due to burnout.

But thanks again to all of you who’ve stuck around for as long as you have and if you guys wanna move on to greener pastures, go right ahead. This’ll still be here if you decide to reminisce and come back lol

Have you met mewo yet? Mari loves that cat!

Ash: I have!! She’s the cutest kitty I’ve ever seen! I’ve always loved cats, but we could never have one because my Dad was more concerned about my medical bills and whatnot so having a pet wasn’t even an option sadly.

Ash: Not like we could have a cat anyway. My Dad’s also extremely allergic to cats. I’ve seen it happen once and he goes into an absolute sneezing fit with a runny nose and watery eyes. Everything.

Well guys, this has been a long time coming but…!

I’m officially doing my first Commissions!

Please note that commissions may take time due to personal circumstances and work. However, I will send frequent updates throughout the commission process.

So if anyone is interested, I have decided on 5 slots to start out with and I accept payments only thought Paypal. The process will be the following:

DM me your order and if it follows my guidelines, I will accept.

And then I will take payments first and after receiving it with no problems, I will begin and give progress updates for each stage. Finished sketch, finished outline, etc.

Only during the sketch phase, I will accept any changes to the order. Any major changes may inquire extra payment.

Honestly that sounds like a cool place to go to! Are there any other areas that you and Mari went to?

Ash: We tried our best to go to each zone in the Astral Plane but we eventually got way too tired, h-hehe. We went to the Jazzy Archipelago, Lava Canyon, Reverie Spring and the Concealed Domain. The last place being a more traditional zone in the Astral Plane and rumoured to be the home of the Astral Creator, Empyre the Titan. But those have just been rumours.

So what else do you two do?

Ash: Well, when we don’t have school, and not hanging out with Rona and the boys, Mari and I often take turns spending time with each other at our homes or we do our best to schedule dates out in town.~

Ash: Mari likes coming over to my dorm more than having me go over to her place though because she doesn’t get teased by her Dads, haha.~

Ash, you mentioned you and Mari just came back from somewhere. Did you guys take any pictures?

Ash: We did actually! We took a whole bunch of pictures but I’ll show just one of them for now. Mari and I decided to take a small break from school for a few days to help get her more acquainted with the rest of the Afterlife since she’s only ever really seen The Ethereal Plane and nothing outside that. So we just came back from the Astral Plane last night.~

Ash: One place Mari was really excited to go to was the tropical resort at the Jazzy Archipelago.~ Probably one of the more unique zones in The Astral Plane as it’s a large area made up of several islands that has a tropical beach area, a snowy area with a wooden lodge cabin, a humid jungle location if you want a more nature reserve-like getaway and lastly, near the edge of the islands, there’s a dormant volcano! It’s a pretty crazy place. It gets its name from the natives who live there as just like everywhere else in The Afterlife, music is a very big part of the cultures here.~

Hey Mack, I wanted to ask because I didn't want there to be a misunderstanding, but ash here looks naked (I know you said the ghost anatomy is different) but I just wanted to ask, they're not minors in this arc right?

((I had a feeling I'd get an ask like that- do not worry nothing like that is going on here. For clarification, she has pj pants on, the rest of her body is just under the covers. And ghost anatomy is different in that all the "extra details" on a person's body just does not exist on a ghost body. It's like everyones wearing a single colour body suit that's their "ectoplasm" as it were. I have an example that better shows what I mean because I'm specifically taloring ghost anatomy to be completely non graphic.))

((Like this was a drawing a did a while ago to kinda nail down how I want ghost anatomy to really look like. Like the skin is completely smoothed out and there’s literally nothing to see. Think of their bodies like blank mannequins! And it’s not just for girls, guys are like that too. All body parts that are considered “graphic” on the human body are not present on a ghost body because ghosts don’t have organs so there’s no reason for those parts to exist. And with that said, there’s also gonna be no graphic content hinted at, at all in this AU.))

((I hope this clears things up- it is in no way to make something sexual for no reason as I’m deliberately taking away everything that would make it sexual. And if you’re wondering about anything else, do not be afraid to ask. And if Ash’s current appearance makes anyone uncomfortable, then just say something and I’ll have Ash put on a shirt or tank top. Greetings spirit of the dead!, how has the afterlife been treating you all!

Ash: …Oh…!~ This is a nice ask to wake up to…~ I know I’m living my best life despite being dead. Hell, for me, Afterlife might as well be my 1st life. Actual life screwed me big time so I’m taking what I can get. Also, just a heads up, I’m keeping my voice down as it’s very early in the morning and Mari’s still asleep behind me so, shhh…~ she spent the night at my place last night because we got home pretty late from the tour I was giving her of the Astral Plane…~

Hey Verona, have you heard any news about Basil?

Verona: Hm? Basil? …I know Mari said she knew a Basil back when she was alive and that he was mostly responsible for the cover up of her death.

Verona: I don’t know why you’d ask me about him- I mean, I have a cousin named Basil on my Dad’s side, but I haven’t seen him in so long. To be honest, I haven’t seen him since my Dad and his Mom had a disagreement when we were really little and my Dad just… completely cut contact due to his sister, my Aunt, just not agreeing to conform to his lifestyle choice. …It obviously relating to religion and beliefs but to the unhealthy degree…

Verona: And honestly after I died, I didn’t even stick around for my funeral. I just wanted to get away from my parents as quickly as possible. Especially since I was a bit ecstatic when realizing The Afterlife wasn’t what my parents believed in at all, h-hehe.

Verona: Oh ho ho…~ I’m gonna get some fun out of this…~ Well, if you really wanna know just HOW down bad Ash is for Mari, she actually told me she had been secretly crushing on her ever since they spent Mari’s first Valentines Day here in the Afterlife. She offered to keep Mari company since Mari was only 4 months dead at the time and it was her first one ever since being forcefully broken up and away from Hero.

Verona: Ash told me that poor Mari had vented her soul out for like, several hours straight as she ate from a tub of ice cream Ash had gotten her to cheer her up. But eventually, Ash managed to get things to calm down and it was while they were hugging, did Ash have a full blown gay panic in the middle of Mari’s vent session. Which scared the hell out of her because she didn’t wanna confront Mari right away about it and make it look like she was taking advantage of Mari’s current vulnerability. So simply waited instead.

Verona: …The girl waited a whole ass YEAR and 4 months to confess to Mari. And she didn’t JUST confess like a normal person, oh no. For those who DON’T know, Ashley’s a music major in school. The kind of music student who gets the best possible grades imaginable because for most of her assignments, she uses HER OWN SONGS she WROTE AND COMPOSED.

Verona: She wrote a song for Mari. And she told me it brought Mari to tears…~

Gotcha, I'll be sure to sneak some more bone chilling puns into my asks 😎 Anyways since it's been so long, did any other developments outside of relationships happen? (Although I wouldn't mind some more tea about both of them..)

Verona: Heh, I'll be sure to let the others know. Although, bone puns don't really apply to us due to there being a lack there of, of bones since we're ghosts. Try to think of some puns with that in mind.~ I know this is gonna drive Mari crazy once she gets back on here since Ash told me that when Mari talked to her about Henry- or well, you guys might know him as "Hero", he was pretty bad for Dad Puns and it was the one thing about him that drove her secretly mad, hahaha!~

Verona: As for anything else new... I can't really think of anything off the top of my head. I'm not seeing anyone due to personal preference of not wanting to date right now as I prefer to focus on myself and my hobbies before I bring another person into the mix. As for "tea" on the other hand... I may have some tea on a few things here and there, although it’s less drama and more “things that will embarrass them if others know about it” if you're THAT curious...~

Verona: Oh, I’ve heard of that movie. Came out a few years before I was born back in the 80’s. Never saw it though when I got older. I came from a EXTREMELY Christian household and if I ever dared to bring something like that into the house, it wouldn’t have surprised me if my parents attempted to perform an exorcism on me. And it wouldn’t have been pretty.

Verona: …Looking back, a part of me is relieved I died of a heart attack instead of possibly getting beaten to death by a wooden cross. I would not want a cross shaped scar on my ghost body for the rest of eternity…

Verona: As for the Ash I’m talking about, her name is Ashley Direson. At first, she was the closest with Mari among our friend group. But then, just over the past summer, Ash told me she confessed to Mari about developing feelings for her and the two have decided to give it a shot. This helping Mari further come to terms with who she is as a person as she’s recently figured out she might be Bisexual.

Verona: Hahaha! Yes, yes, we’re all still kickin’ around in Death. And we’re doing okay- or well…

Verona: …physically speaking. I still have my reserves about how Mari’s doing mentally deep down but, she seems to be adjusting well enough to the Afterlife. Even after only a couple years. Hell, she’s got to be doing somewhat okay if she actually decided to give dating a shot again and hooked up with Ash.

Verona: And don’t worry about accidentally offending us. Ghosts practically thrive on morbid and dark humour. Do you have any idea how many ghost puns Mr. Crawford makes whenever we visit? A lot. Can’t tell you how many, but a lot.

Anything new happen over the last 2 years??

Verona: Hmm, well, I’d say quite a few things.

Verona: For starters, if I recall correctly, you guys were kinda left off with… the whole “Mari having a crush on Ray” thing. Well, to sum things up. The two eventually talked about things after baseball practice one afternoon after school. They tried going on one date to see how things would go from there and after that, Mari had told us she realized that her “crush” was her mind still kinda… relapsing from just dying and losing her still living boyfriend. But even after they talked things out, Mari and Ray are still on good terms and nothing’s awkward between them at all. Doesn’t even mess with their sports stuff.

Verona: Although THAT whole thing led to some…~

Verona: Ahh, I see we have someone new.~ Well, for all the newbies here, I’m Verona Handler. One of Mari’s friends she made not long after she came to The Afterlife which was at the start of last year back in 2000. Mari met Ash and I at a clothing store as Mari was getting ready to start her first semester of school after death so she needed a new wardrobe. Ash and I were more than happy to help her with that as our first impression had started off with Ash accidentally getting excited and mistakenly bumping into the poor girl and knocking her to the floor.
