It’s so incredibly painful that I know I’d use my wolf form as a coping mechanism and I can’t do that in real life. Overwhelmed, angry, depressed? Shift into a wolf and just run away for a bit. Or have a canine brain with no overthinking. Bonus points for getting anger out through pain by shifting. Sigh.
