Rolling her eyes and mimicking him, before she makes her way to the microwave and warms her food. "Thanks." a brief sense of genuine gratefulness before she shrugs her shoulders at the question. "Stas wanted her book back and it was on the way, we lost track of time a little." she admits, taking the food from the microwave and trekking over to the couch, settling against the arm of it and making a face at his admission about the hot sauce. "Well, here i was thinking you were competent enough to get me a perfect meal for once." half-teasing, aware that hot sauce wasn't her biggest issue and then her eyes are flickering into another roll. "of course, hot sauce and girls in bathing suits immediately remind you to comment on my ass." beginning to drown her food in hot sauce and unceremoniously shove a bite into her mouth.

"No, I wanted to comment when you first entered but I didn't want to be rude" he shrugged, his mouth full of food. He scooted over for her to sit down on the actual couch. "Here" he passed her the remote to let her change it to a station of her liking. "I cleaned my room and the guest room in case you wanted to sleepover" he shrugged. Sure their relationship was unique they didn't live together and when he slept over at her's sometimes he didn't always sleep with her — sometimes he slept on her couch or in her guest room just in case. Gabe never wanted Kori to feel any discomfort around him; not to mention it worked perfectly for him. The less emotionally attached he was to her the less it would hurt if she left. Of course he'd grown to love the woman and develop some level of attachment but his fears of commitment often got in the way of their relationship.

Kori's late, as per usual. Whether it be intentional or not, whether it be ten minutes or two hours, the femme has a habit of showing up late. Reasons that stricter jobs wouldn't fit with her particular schedule needs. Also a reason she preferred the way their relationship was going as is. Before she arrived, she'd had a pit stop to make, dropping off a friend's book. After ringing the doorbell, and waiting rather patiently, she can only scoff at his greeting and pushing her way, half-jokingly, through. "It's rude to come into someone's house unannounced, whether i have knowledge about where the key is or not."

"Since when do you care about being rude" he questioned quirking a brow. He gave her a quick kiss on the forehead, then returned to his seat on the couch where he'd been enjoying his food. "Your food's in the microwave" he informed his we'd glued to the television. "So what happened? Why were you so late?" He questioned curiously forking some rice into his mouth. "Also I couldn't find the hot sauce you like in the grocery store so I bought the one with the chick in the reds bathing suit" he shrugged turning around to face her. "That outfit makes your ass look good by the way" he winked as he continued eating.

Gabe didn't have much patience and before Kori got to his place he started eating. Everything in their relationship seemed perfect in his eyes, if they didn't live together there would be no fights or major attachment issues that could arise.
