This is the best I can do for a book cover as I have a very limited use and understanding of photoshop. I removed the picture from the back cover and replaced it with forboading text to give an idea what the story would be like. specifically horror.

In photoshop, I changed the image I used to the original one as it included its own background and looked better, I also added the total to the front cover.

Audience
I suppose that the audience id aim my work toward would be the sort of people that enjoy the idea of not so realistic but believable sea monsters, typically around the age of 16-19 year olds or for people that remember classical horror films.
My bust would be a good prop on a Guillermo del Toro film set. It could be used for casting a mask that could then be used in a film, for example, Hellboy, Shape of water, Pans labyrinth. I can see my mask being used for a film like a 1900s classical horror film as the main antagonist, like the creature from the black lagoon.
I have researched the age rating of a similar film that I took inspiration from. This shows multiple age ratings for the this classical film in multiple countries. If I were to make a film with my monster included, there would be ,multiple on camera and off camera kills.

Unfortunately due to time constraints that were put in place for the safety of everyone at college during the current global pandemic, I was unable to finish my clay modle. Provided I had the full time to work on my project I would have been able to hollow the model out, (after a period of 2-3 weeks to allow the clay to dry) and possibly paint it. I was also planning on making a rotating gif of the model out of multiple photos taken at different horizontal angles.

With the help of a fellow art student, we collaboratively made a quick draft of what the model would most likely look like if I had the time to paint and finish it fully.

My start of making a book cover, if I had more time I would make it better, add the penguin logo and title onto the front of the cover and any other information commonly found on penguin books.

I also rotated the model head, as well as moving the position of the lights, so that the shadows and texture of the head would be more visible.

After completing my model, I (with assistance) took numerous photos of the head under different lighting, colour and backgrounds. I then edited the photos into an upload-able format. (.JPG)

The fin at the top of the creatures head didn't really look as though it was natural to what I was making it. I was given the advice that it should alter the "skin" around where it attatches to the head. In hope to remedy this I marked around it to see if it made it better. Thankfully it did.

Sketches of the models prominent features. The teeth (bottom picture) need some work as it doesn't really look like a mouth.

Other sketches, specifically stylised sketches of angler fish'. The first two were examples from a teacher.

An attempt at drawing my modle. It looks terrible and I dislike the roundness of the head.
