Because of my situation where I cant do much to my model, I just had to work with what I've got and so I tried and add more details on photoshop so I can get something for a book cover. So once I applied colour and made the model look more like the non human, creature like vampire, I put the title which is 'Wailing Ghosts' and I added one with colour and one that is just black so I can test out what looks better. Adding colour can make the title be easy to be seen, and the black can sometimes be too dull and too hidden into the image, so testing colour and black out it makes it easier for me to see what works well for my work. As well as the colour, I placed the titles in different areas to see where it looks the best.

For the teeth, I wanted them to be more noticeable and by that I added yellow to cover the whole of the tooth, I then applied some red to maybe represent blood that has stained to the teeth, and finally I wanted to add a small touch of green to the teeth just to show that they are molding and decaying.

Once adding the burn tool I wanted to try adding some other colour's to it to make the vampire look more 'alien like'. By this is selected the paint brush tool and turned down the tool to make it not so harsh and is quite see through so that the colour underneath can also be shown which this also makes it look more natural. I chose a red toned brown colour and applied that to some areas like the inner corner of the eye/nose, ears, teeth and other parts and this is to make small parts look more defined and strong. By adding another colour to the model, it produced a more detailed, horrified vampire creature.

Due to mudbox crashing which enables me to continue on there, I had to leave the sculpture how it is and just add colour to it which I did on photoshop. I first added a black background to make the model pop and not be blended into the grey background. After I did that, I wanted to start defining the model itself and how I did that was by selecting the burn tool and dimming down the brush depending on the areas that need more detail such as the teeth, ears etc. and I used this tool to create definition to the cheekbones, eyes, neck, collar bone and the rest of the model., and with the burn tool it does not apply to the light parts of the picture it only selects the darker areas. When I did this is created a brown toned colour to the face and even though it helped with making the features more prominent, it also helped with adding colour which made a difference to it and made it appear to look like that it has texture.

Fonts
Fonts are important when it comes to book covers because it helps bring the readers attention to what the book is about, what genre it is, etc. I selected a few fonts that I typically like on a font website and the fonts that I chose are all quite similar and this is because my theme for my book is vampires and the dead and the writing that appear on vampire books publish with a droopy, dripping like font, where the letters fall further down like ink is dripping.

Today I had a struggle to open my project on Mudbox, it was not working due to the fact that the software was using up too much storage causing the file to not open and crash, so I was not able to continue with my model because I couldn't get it open. However after some time I had it fixed but because of the amount of storage it was taking up it was making my actions lag and load for ages which made it hard for me to use and to work on the sculpture. Because of this I don't know if I am able to officially complete my project to the state how I want it to be, so for now I will have to work with what I have completed so far.
But with the sculpture I attempted different teeth by carving out the extra clay and creating sockets for the teeth (gums) but on the bottom I didn't have time to do the same to them, so for now they are just mixed into the model head, but in my opinion I think that I have improved with the teeth which makes the vampire look more like a flesh eating monster instead of a catfish.

Buffy The Vampire Slayer
With Buffy, there is a movie which is the original Buffy movie that was published in 1992 and then in 1997, a tv series was produced that was based on the movie.
“a cheerleader named Buffy who learns that it is her fate to hunt vampires. The film took a different direction from that which its writer Joss Whedon intended, and five years later, he created the darker and critically acclaimed television series.”
