So on the topic of monsters I’d like to clarify something:

These things are super sexy and personally I’d love to smooch one. However:
They are not w*ndigo. W*ndigo are a very sacred spirit (equivalent to, like, angels/demons for Christians) and aren’t cryptids that should be discussed in the same vein as mothman and Bigfoot. Traditional w*ndigo don’t even look like these things.
The above art depicts deer-men cryptids, a totally separate creature. So if you like those kinds of monsters, call them by their actual name and leave w*ndigo out of it please.

I swear to god, y’all really need to learn that you can be upset that your identity isn’t being represented in something, without tearing down the identities that are being represented in something.
Sapphics don’t have “too much representation in modern cartoons” just because there isn’t as much MLM content in cartoons. AFAB enbies don’t have “too much representation” just because there isn’t as much for AMAB enbies. Binary trans people don’t have “too much representation” just because there isn’t as much for nonbinary people. Gay men don’t have “too much representation” in ANY way, shape, or form, considering how much of it is still blatantly homophobic.
It’s almost like we should be directing our anger at the system instead of our fellow marginalized comrades.

Not to be a hetero ally or whatever but I sincerely hope all straight women can find a man who puts in the effort, provides, listens, and most importantly, cares. I hope you find a man who values you and let’s it be known he’s grateful to be with you. You don’t deserve someone who doesn’t light up when he sees you, doesn’t pay for shit, doesn’t wanna impress you, and just doesn’t realize how bless led he is to be with you. I want them to know that they aren’t selfish for wanting a man they’re actually attracted to or wanting a a man who wants to spoil them how he can. No one deserves to settle.

22 YEARS AGO ON DECEMBER 18, 1998 - DREAMWORKS ANIMATION RELEASED “THE PRINCE OF EGYPT”
Because DreamWorks was concerned about theological accuracy, they decided to call in Biblical scholars, Christian, Jewish, and Muslim theologians, and Arab American leaders to help the film be more accurate and faithful to the original story. After previewing the developing film, all these leaders noted that the studio executives listened and responded to their ideas, and praised the studio for reaching out for comment from outside sources.
The animation team for The Prince of Egypt included 350 artists from 34 different nations. Careful consideration was given to depicting the ethnicities of the ancient Egyptians, Hebrews, and Nubians properly.
Both character design and art direction worked to set a definite distinction between the symmetrical, more angular look of the Egyptians versus the more organic, natural look of the Hebrews and their related environments. The backgrounds department, headed by supervisors Paul Lasaine and Ron Lukas, oversaw a team of artists who were responsible for painting the sets/backdrops from the layouts. Within the film, approximately 934 hand-painted backgrounds were created.

Native artwork is honestly fucking gorgeous and it infuriates me that when you think of or try to look up “Native American art”, you get fetishistic, colonizer bullshit.
I’m so fucking sick of it. We’re always defined by how other people see us.

psa to all cishets: when a queer person isnt out to you, but you keep noticing them doing and saying Queer Things, they probably arent just “thinking they’re being subtle.” like, they’re probably deliberately testing the waters to see how you react, and then if they start backpedaling and trying to explain it away, you uh. reacted badly.

Hey can we not make the genocide of Indigenous Americans a fun punchline for your “gotcha” about people spreading covid by getting together with their families?
“Haha spreading disease to people is actually in the spirit of the first Thanksgiving” Like. That’s such a thoughtlessly cruel thing to say. Poking at a centuries-old wound to be a thorn in the side of people who don’t comply with safety guidelines isn’t the epic smackdown you think it is, it’s just being a dick.
