Evil Villain Monologue
Part 1 - Next -> Masterlist Ao3
Summary: Makarov sounds like an evil disney villain to me, I can't explain it I made this with encouragement from my friend ( @oblivdova ), who loves Makarov :D
Warnings: Uh, death. It's canon, but death And Makarov
You had been sitting on this god forsaken chair for over three hours now. This, uncomfortable, metal chair. If you could shoot whoever had made it, you would have already. People flitted to and from in front of you, the giant hangar you were located in loud and bustling.
You had tried to get some of the soldiers (you think they were soldiers at least) attention, but they all ignored you. You frowned as your stomach growled once again. You don’t even know why you were here, only having been kidnapped about an hour before you had been placed in the worst contraption known to man.
You had just decided to people watch, gazing at the different soldiers with an intensity, that somehow, made them uncomfortable and tense. You were currently looking at someone sitting on a crate, a rifle in his hands. He was cleaning it, speaking with some of the people around him, just loud and close enough to you where you could hear his voice.
Granted, it was in Russian, so you couldn’t understand a lick of it.
A small group of people entered the hangar, a form of tension rising in the building. Someone important had just entered. The man at the front walked with such confidence, something you could admire, even if he most likely wasn’t a good person.
He cast a single glance towards you, a slight eyebrow raise at your presence, but he didn’t pay you anymore mind, finally close enough to where he could greet the woman you had seen hovering around, tapping away on her screens.
“Milena.” He greeted with a smile, grabbing her hand like a friend. You hadn’t thought she would have any friends when you had been looking at her. “С возвращением, Владимир.” (Welcome back, Vladimir) She replied to him in Russian, making you narrow your eyes.
“Вы построили нам армию.” (You built us an army) “Деньги потрачены не зря. И по правильному делу.” (Money well spent. And for the right cause) You could hear him hum an agreement, though you weren’t sure for what.
You just stared, your gut telling you to get out of there as fast as possible.
“My comrades…” Your eyebrows furrowed, as the man yelled at his troops in English, something you hadn’t really been prepared for. At least it made your boring time in the chair a bit more eventful.
“We stand reunited!” He yelled out, making sure that he had gotten the attention of everyone in the hangar.
You had to hold back a giggle as the armour clad men all responded with “Ura Ura!”. He moved around, letting his gaze drift over the soldiers. “For your efforts in my absence, I offer you praise.” He paused for a few moments, his eyes flickering to the ground.
“И наказание…” (And punishment) You huffed out in annoyance, as the man switched language again. He turned to one of the men that had arrived with him, catching him off guard. What he had said probably wasn’t something good.
“Ivan.” He walked over to the man, placing a hand on his shoulder. “Не доверяя моему плану…” (By not trusting my plan) He guided the man to where he had been standing before. “Вы потратили драгоценное время.” (You wasted precious time)
You didn’t like where this was going, keeping a careful eye as to what the man, Vladimir you think, would do next. “И время решает все.” (And timing is everything) His expression was quite intense, the tension he had created in the room could be cut with a butter knife. It felt thick in your breath.
“Командир, с уважением, я-” (Commander, respectfully, I-) The man, Ivan, began speaking, most likely pleading with the man. “Shhh, shh.” The man shushed Ivan like you would a child that was speaking too much. “Каждый должен признать свои ошибки.” (Everyone should own their mistakes)
He removed his hand from Ivan’s shoulder, taking something from his shirt along with it. You barely got to register what had happened, when a gunshot rang out, Ivan falling to the floor, dead. A clean head shot.
You had seen death before, but this felt different. Killed by his own men. It made bile rise in your throat.
“Andrei.” Said man holstered his gun, stepping up to the commander. “Вы зарекомендовали себя.” (You’ve proven yourself) He gave Andrei, the new man, a tap on the shoulder, putting whatever he had taken from Ivan on his jacket. “С этого момента ты лидер команды.” (From here on, you’re team leader.)
Andrei gave, what you assumed was a thank you. Your gaze snapped away from Ivan’s body, back up at the man as he began speaking again, walking away from Andrei.
“My fellow warriors… I wasn’t here, but I was always with you.” God, you wanted to hit someone, the constant switching of languages annoying you to all hell. You watched as he walked around, making sure everyone’s attentions were gathered.
“Since then, our enemies have grown stronger. The U.L.F. have stolen back Urzikstan.” You had seen a few things about Russia’s invasion of said country, but you didn’t know much, too busy of an everyday life to really keep up.
“The time has come for us to show them the meaning of true power.” His words kinda snapped you out of your little daze, all intimidation the man had set up completely gone. The more he talked, the more he sounded like a Disney villain to you.
“It is a battle of perception.” Once the image solidified itself in your mind, you couldn’t get it out, trying your damnedest to keep any and all chuckles inside. “A lie flies, while the truth… Only crawls.”
The way he let his hand slid over one of the shoulders arms did make you shiver, and not in the good way. But it didn’t stop you from giggling quietly to yourself. “If you control what people believe, you control the world. This is our weapon.”
You shook your head, small snickers escaping past your lips. It began catching the attention of the soldiers around you. “And we will use this as a tool of war to restore glory to Russia!” He was full on yelling now.
But what he said next was what finally broke you.
“The REAL Russia!” You were fully belly laughing now, essentially cutting off the “Ura Ura.” his men did. He turned slowly towards you, watching for a few seconds as you let it all out, watching as your shoulders shook, stomach hurting from all the laughing.
He walked closer, a slow click to his steps. You coughed a bit, trying to regain your composure. Oh, you were so dead, and you knew it. Letting yourself catching your breath, you rolled your head back, catching his gaze in your own.
“Quite the monologue.” He tilted his head, silently inquire you to continue. “Evil villain monologue is what I would call that.” He turned his head to stare at Milena for a few moments, hoping that she could give him some answers.
“Интел. Мы поймали их несколько часов назад.” (Intel. We captured them a few hours ago) She answered him, glaring disapprovingly at you. You just reciprocated the stare, unsure on what she had said about you.
The man hummed, his gaze landing back on you again. He leans over, grabbing the back of the metal contraption, tilting it back ever so slightly. “I don’t appreciate being interrupted.” His eyes darkened ever so slightly.
“I figured… You’re not beating the stereotypical evil villain right now.” You chuckled. You were currently incapable of feeling intimidated by the man. Even when the muzzle of a gun was pointed to your temple, by none other than Andrei.
He let go of the chair, nodding his head slightly to the left. A silent order. You could hear the creaking of the trigger, before everything went dark.
Pain erupted in your head before it was washed out, a silence overcoming your entire body, lungs pausing in their breathing. The last thing you felt, other than pain, was your body slumping over.
You let out an airy chuckle, letting it ring out in the hangar like a taunt.
You weren’t sure how long you had been out this time, but you didn’t think it was that long, the feeling of Satan’s creation still under you. All sounds around you stopped, the only sound filling the room being your chuckles, and other peoples breathing.
Leaning back, you lolled your head backwards, letting it limply hang on your neck. A wicked headache was already settling itself behind your eyes, erupting from where the bullet was being pushed out by the healing wound.
Your gaze landed on the man again, a smile stretching on your lips.
“Sorry to disappoint. It’s going to take more than that to kill me.”

Ghost and Soap never start dating. They never talk about it. But after a while, barely any of Johns things are in his own room, and Simons bed smells like him.
Whenever anyone outside the taskforce asks, they just say the nightmares get easier when someones there. They aren't lying.
They assume the others know. That they just don't say anything for privacy sake. It was two months after Soap stopped even using his own bunk at all that Price started to suspect something.
After a while, people started to count them as one unit. Whatever you told one, the other would know. Wherever one was, the other wasn't far behind. Like shelter dogs with notes on file saying "Do not separate".
They never talk about what they are to each other. They never put it in words. They never have to.
