but he comes around, and grabs it like its light work; for himself. if he’s feeling a little more teasing, he’ll move it to a higher destination.

"i can almost feel like you're burning holes through my head right now, h/n." the male coughs awkwardly, looking away when you lift your head up from your papers.

it's hard not to stare at you especially after last week's ball. the image of you and your ball attire got him speechless as you asked him for a dance. he shortcircuited for a little before agreeing.

which brings us back to the staring. you stifle a laugh at how quick his ears were reddening, muttering "cute" under your breath.

loud enough for h/n to hear.

the way you would his eyes when you caught him. how quickly he averted his gaze from your orbs. it was cute as hell.

facing your now ex-boyfriend, you sigh animatedly, showing how eager you were to finish this conversation. "if you're just going to tell me about your new girl, forget it. i'm taking my leave," you spat, grabbing your bag and storming out the coffee shop.

you know he's following you. midway in your steps, you abruptly turn around. he gets startled and tries running away, but you grabbed ahold of his hoodie.

"you were painfully obvious, h/n. don't try to deny it."

h/n pouts disappointedly, not wanting to make eye contact. "i just wanted to make sure you're fine. y'know, after what that bloody bastard did." he says, voice laced with mother-like concern.

you tear up in appreciation, hugging him tight. "your presence really helped me out. i don't think i would've been able to break it up with him if yoh weren't around."

h/n wraps his arms around you protectively, returning your embrace. the confession will have to wait 'til later.

hi yall! im planning to revamp my account a little! ill still be writing for sf9 and tbz, however more grps will be included! in addition, all my fics will not have a specific member. you guys can self-insert any member/idol u guys want!

you've been trying to sleep for the past 20 minutes. tossing and turning, you couldn't seem to get into a comfortable position.

to make things worse, every time you finally able to drift off, something would always rattle your consciousness.

the clashing of pans. a dog barking. your neighbours' muffled cheering as they watch a soccer match. everything was holding you back from a good sleep.

tears prick at your eyes from frustration and you feel yourself going insane. i just want to sleep, i really need it right now, you thought. it was almost depressing how you pleaded to no one in particular. just as you were about to sit up, arms snake around your waist and pull you towards their chest.

at first, you were startled and ready to attack them. the smell of his perfume made it to your nose and you relaxed in his embrace.

"can't sleep?" his voice sounded like a lullaby, tone gentle. you mumble something along the lines of 'everything is disturbing me, i'm this close to ripping my hair out'. he chuckles softly, tightening his arms around you. "try sleeping with me hugging you, it should work. just focus on me,"

you don't know if he could see you blushing from his last sentence, but you turn around and bury your face into his body. his scent engulfs you whole, giving you a feeling of security.

he hums a familiar lullaby, combing through your hair to try to get you to relax. the male smiles as he realises you're finally sleeping.

“i merely saved you back then because you would've ruined my operation. but why is it that every single time i'm always there to save you?”

you hug your knees tightly to your chest, refusing to look up at your saviour. it's funny because you're supposed to thank him, but you fear him more.

"i.. i never asked you to save me," you mumble incomprehensibly. you sneak a peek at him, watching him swipe his hair back multiple times in frustration. "god, you're so hard to deal with." you fully hide your face when sangyeon approaches.

his black leather shoes stop in front of your dirty sneakers. you feel something on your shoulders, making you look up to notice it was his suit jacket. sangyeon's face remained unscathed after he fought your abductor, contrary to his knuckles decorated with patches of broken skin.

you absentmindedly brush your fingers over his split knuckles, then retracting them back once you realise what you were doing. "you got anywhere to go?" sangyeon asks softly, carefully watching your expression.

shaking your head, you decide to just stare at your shoes. he sighs and slowly starts helping you up.

"well, in that case, i guess it's safe for you to come with me." you timidly meet his eyes. it made you feel uneasy not being to read the emotions in his eyes. "you don't mind? i mean, i only bring trouble."

to your surprise, sangyeon chuckles. "well, at least i know you'll be safe, love."

Your whines fell on deaf ears as he slid the blindfold over your forehead. There was a pleading look on his face when he slapped his hands together in a praying gesture.

“C’mon y/n, do this for me?” He said, motioning to the growing line at the kissing booth. “I have no one to take the shift right now since Miyeon can’t be contacted.”

The two of you turned to look at the snaking queue and internally, you cringed as you watched a guy in line bite at his nails. Your fists were clenched at your sides and you bit out each word, “No. Way. Never in a million years. Not even if you go down on your knees and beg.”

"i'm fine, i swear." you try to reassure your boyfriend, who's ignoring you and continuing what he was doing. he hands you a bag of medicines, noticing prior to you getting sick that you didn't have any at home.

the gesture warmed your heart, but it didn't help with how cold you were feeling. you were freezing in the middle of summer, as a result of catching a nasty cold from your seatmate.

changmin takes a moment to glance at you, your cheeks red from what he suspected was a fever. he steps towards you, surprising you with the sudden proximity of his face. he gently touches your forehead with his own, nodding firmly afterwards. "you do have a fever!" changmin announces proudly, now going to the kitchen to grab a glass of water for your medicine.

when he returns, your cheeks were much more redder than earlier. you could tell from his questioning gaze that something was up. taking the glass from him, you take your time to swallow your meds.

desperately praying that changmin doesn't notice what he did had an adverse effect on you.

you stare hard at the sleeve on your coffee holder, the heart drawn next to your name giving you butterflies. a glance towards the barista at the counter doesn't go unnoticed by him.

jacob, according to his name tag, waved at you and chuckles as you hide your blushing face in your folded arms on the table. you could practically feel your face heating up a lot more, maybe you had steam coming out of your ears too.

which is why you were even more flabbergasted when you hear the seat across you drag on the floor. you looked up to meet jacob face-to-face. he pushes the plate with a blueberry muffin towards you, beckoning you to eat it.

he winks at you before leaving, your mouth wide open in shock. for the past 3 months of visiting the café, and silent pining, you've never interacted 'til today. the napkin beside your muffin is neatly folded, almost making you squeal when you notice his message.

you round a corner and notice him hiding behind a pillar, panting. a plan to scare him starts to form in your head. slowly creeping up towards the pillar, you thought of how to scare him without noticing that he was already behind you. haknyeon had already devised his own plan to frighten you.

as you abruptly turn around the pillar, you scream as your sight was suddenly blinded. your nearly kicked haknyeon before he spins you around and grins cheekily at you. he silently hands you back the keychain, patting your head gently as an apology.

a smile forms on your lips when you feel his arms wrapping around your waist. you turn your head to see his head buried in your shoulder. "feeling clingy are we today, hmm?" sunwoo hums as a response, his grip tightening. he lets go of one arm and brings your hand to his head, guiding your hand to pat his head.

"long day?" sunwoo replies with a "mhm" and goes back to cuddling into your back. you continue to pat his head 'til he falls asleep, tucking him in and turning to face your lover. his peaceful face brought you to ease. you remember to thank the heavens for bringing you two together.
