“...Yeah. I figured it would be something we could do together.” She nuzzled back into him, after his peck. She blushed. It was cute.
“...Thank you, Yori-chan. I appreciate you... and your kind words. They mean a lot to me, you know<3″ The heart was nearly audible. (Thread continued in private, but if anyones interested... Nei will read her journal to you if you ask her.)

XIV | Oneiro + Ends | Ch6 + Execution reaction (smol)
It was terrible for Oneiro to know that she felt safer with Hachiro dead. It made her feel guilty to have any sort of positive feeling involving the execution, but it is what it is.
Enough about that, though.
As they returned to their room, Oneiro held Ends’ hand and said, somewhat quietly, “Ends-chan, this journal of mine has been in our room, and not once did you ever try to break into it... I really appreciate that. I-If you’re ok with it, I’d like to... I’d like to share the contents with you. Now that I think I finally know who I used to be.”
She continued speaking as she entered their room, sitting on the bed. “Each night I dream a little bit more, and record it in here as soon as I wake, even if I intend to sleep more after. All of the pieces fit into each other last night, thankfully before it was announced that Komaka-chan had been murdered. Unless you just don’t want to hear about it, I think I’ve... I’ve finally reconstructed myself, and I’d like to share with you what I’ve found.”
She didn’t sound too excited.

(cw: minor emetophobia)
Oneiro just clung. Well, she didn’t just cling. She was shaking as well.
She couldn’t really say anything directly to Ends. She just... clung. “...Bleeding. The bleeding.” She mumbled into his neck. She felt sick, on the verge of vomiting. The whole room spun...  After a few moments of other, more unintelligible mumbles, she managed to inquire: “Ends...chan... Is... Is my mother... ok?”
What in the world was she talking about...?

Kingdom Hearts | Oneiro | Motive Reaction | Please hug her, Ends.
What a dumb motive. Immortality only exists in fantasy, in magic, in alchemy... there’s no way anyone here would go for such a dumb prompt. Everyone here is too smart to-
“...Pipe. Metal.”
Oneiro was only able to hold her composure until briefly after Monokuma finished speaking. She screamed. She ducked onto the floor, covering her mouth, but the scream continued to flow until she was out of breath.
She had remembered something.
“...Mother.”
She slowly stood back up, crying. Clinging onto Ends. Tightly.

“You’re very welcome, Komaka-chan. I care a lot about you... I just want everyone on this dumb ship to be alright.” She sighs. Then, she’s silent.
...Memories. She was trying not to think about that one, honestly. But it’s not like Komaka knew, or meant any harm.
“...Yes. I have made quite a bit of headway.” Her tone went from warm and friendly to rather morose, but not cold. “The, uh... That bear’s motive, this time around. It triggered something of a cascade. Immortality isn’t a subject I really love to discuss. I was right, though, about the whole ‘Senchamoto Tea Company’ thing. I just didn’t know the title of the mansion, or the tea company. Apparently I also have a sister named Ochako, who murdered someone. Really brutally. But that doesn’t have much to do with why I don’t like being called ‘Ochako,’ because we never met.”

“… I think maybe I’ve always felt like one,” Komaka admits. “Everyone… everyone thinks I’m weird or I’m strange and… I guess I owned that for a while. But now all I can think of is how detached I am from everyone… Chieko-chan is lucky.”
Why bring her up?
“Chieko-chan can talk to others and reach them and connect to them on an emotional level. She can form connections. Interact with others and leave meaningful impacts on their lives… I’m not like that. I’m not able to connect with anyone or anything. I can talk to others and they can understand me. I can tell others how I’m feeling. I can hold basic conversations with people like you or Chikako or… Stern-sama… but the more I think the more I think that nobody really understood me.”
“… Oneiro-san… do you think of me as a friend? Someone you can have an emotional connection with? Someone who you… understand? Or is talking to me like… talking to someone speaking another language?” Komaka asked.
“Certainly not like talking to someone speaking another language, Komaka-chan. I almost always understand what you’re saying, and I think everyone else does too. But I’ll be truthful - although I understand what you say, I don’t always understand you. But... that’s the beauty of people - I don’t understand anyone. Nobody understands anyone, and that’s why psychology, therapy sessions, and all of that stuff is so important for humanity. It doesn’t just help both individuals involved to understand each other, on a more long-term scale it helps humanity understand itself. You may feel as if not being understood all the time is a negative thing, but imagine being so understood that you’re predictable. You’d be boring! Frankly, I’m glad you are who you are... whatever sort of force made you did a really fantastic job. I don’t think you need to understand every last thing about someone to have an emotional connection with them... I think connections just happen. Lastly, I most certainly do consider you my friend, Komaka-chan. I hope you consider me one as well!”  She smiled wide. It was an openly friendly, gentle, happy, wide smile.

“Huh... interesting. I believe you, because this doesn’t sound like the plot to anything relatively familiar...” She made quick li’l notes in one of her notebooks. This one was purple. Whence Komaka was done, Oneiro nodded her head, setting the notebook down next to her. “I... think I do understand. Often, our mind can put creepy spins on things that hold negative motifs... that’s probably why the shadow people had so few but rather unnerving discernible features, like their teeth or eyes.” She glanced to her side, looking over her notes one more time. “...I think, to sum everything up, that you feel... trapped, perhaps? Like, you may feel as if you don’t fit in with everyone else, and that you’re trapped in that state of being. Signified by the whole ‘school and prison’ aesthetic that you mentioned. The part about the water might represent a wish to be more like the others, but still ties into the whole ‘feeling trapped into being different’ thing that I mentioned. You can’t just continue drinking, but doing the impossible is what made people look more ‘real.’” She paused for a little while. “...Do you feel like an outcast, Komaka-chan?”
HEY ROXAS WHAT DID YOU DO WITH KAIRI!? | Komaka | Open to Oneiro | Chapter 5
Once again, Komaka found herself sitting in Oneiro’s room. This time though she wasn’t like her usual self. She seemed… more distant. More reclusive.
“… I had a dream,” Komaka said “the first one I can vividly remember anyway.”
“No lie this time either. I… I had it last night. I was there. Sitting at my desk at Hopes Peak. Except it wasn’t Hopes Peak. It was my elementary school. Except it was also my middle school. Except it was also the prison. I dunno. It was all those things at once.”
“I was sitting there… alone. Everyone around me was just a shadow. One of the shadows came up and told me I should go drink some water. So I went to the fountain and as I drank the shadows started to look more like people. Some had hair or eyes or fingernails or teeth. And I kept drinking because I knew that if I stopped drinking they’d go back to just being shadows. I drank and I drank until I started to drown. Then I coughed up the water.”
She turned her head over and looked at the sitting girl who was most likely taking notes on her.
“Once I was done spitting it out the shadows began laughing and speaking to each other in sign language. I don’t know how you speak in sign language. Don’t recall how they did it either. Then one of the shadows looked to me and tried to wave me over but I was afraid because I thought it was his leg and not his arm and I thought he was gonna kick me.”
“Then I tried to pull the fountain out of the wall so I could take it with me but I was too weak. Then… then I realized there were too many shadows and I had to escape. But I couldn’t find the exit. The signs kept telling me I had to go up but there were no ladders anywhere! There were only ladders leading downward! Then I curled up into a ball and started singing ‘Friend Like Me’. You know that Aladdin song? Then I saw a shadow walking up to me waving his leg around and I woke up sweating.”
Komaka looked to Oneiro, her eyes wide and her lips twitching.
“Do… do you understand any of that?” Komaka asked.

Chikako shrugs, anger starting to dwindle, an onset of tired, lethargic sadness beginning to weigh heavily on her shoulders. She notices Oneiro’s sudden shock at the information…but what she read was honestly really not that important important to her.
“I think I saw your sister die. Ochako Senchamoto, was her name. She was like…the heir to the largest tea brewing company in Japan? Super rich family. Seemed like a shut-in from what I saw.”
Chikako shakes her head.
“I don’t think it’s YOU, seeing as she’s blonde, convinced she’s a witch, and dead. Lol. But…you might be secretly uber rich? That’s fun.”
Oneiro seemed to be in thought for a moment. A slightly long moment. A little bit longer than the average moment.
“I... I didn’t think I had a sister. I’ve never, ever dreamt about one. But... If this is true, then my dreams about a large mansion filled with tea make a lot of sense. Did you learn anything about her parents? Or... rather, my parents? I had a dream about my mom, recently...” She takes her nightcap off to show Chikako something important to the conversation. “Interesting, though, about her being blonde... if we really are sisters, that makes sense. Look at my roots-” She kind of tugs at her hair to force a part, exposing blond roots. “I keep my hair dyed because when it’s this cute lavender color, I find I can ‘get in the zone’ a bit more efficiently and dream more clearly. It’s the same reason I only own copies of the clothes I’m wearing now.”
After this, however, she seemed to get hung up on that last part of Chikako’s description. “...Wait. Did you say, ‘dead?’ Like, h-how did she die?”

Chikako walks up to Nei and tiredly takes the book. “I can’t burn this, as much as I would like to. We might need it for some reason. We need everything we can get.”
She does, however, plop it onto the ground next to her without a care.
“Also….I found out who you are, Nei-chan. I know…basically all of your past.”
Oh my! What’s this?
“Ah, yes, I suppose that does make sense. We should keep--”
WHAT
Oneiro sat in shock for a moment. When she came to, she questioned, “...R-Really? How?? I was just asking Monokuma about it, and I got s-some sort of bull answer, but... how did you? Y-You’re not just bullying me, are you? That kind of a joke isn’t too funny... If it is just a joke please tell me now instead of leading me on!!”
Oneiro was visibly frightened. Shaking, a little bit. This was her memorable life’s work at hand. She herself wasn’t really ready for this sort of a drop quite yet, but... onwards, Chikako. Please, do it.

Chikako shoots up upon hearing the description.
“Fucking hell, that brings back memories. All the lying bullshit I had to do for that story. The entire staff just put on fake smiles and told the writer whatever they wanted to hear.”
She grabs Yumi from a lab-coat pocket and holds her, obviously angry at this.
“If I told them what I ~actually~ did, this book wouldn’t exist. And I assume the mess would be ‘cleaned up’.”
Chikako rubs her forehead, dissatisfied with–well–everything.
“Thanks for the thought, I guess. Now I just feel shitty AND pissed. You need rest, Nei-chan. Don’t worry about me.”
Well, fuck. FFS
“A-Ah, sorry. I didn’t think to open it and look inside before I gave it to you. I’m a little preoccupied with stuff, myself. I’m sorry, Chikako-chan. I should have thought first.”
Although the girl did also need rest, she wouldn’t feel right leaving her friend alone.
“...If it brings back bad memories, would you like to burn it? We could have a little campfire down on the beach. The paper here would make very nice kindling I think, ehehee~.”
She sighed. “...If you don’t want to, it’s alright. But I think it might help. I just want to help you be alright... or some semblance of it, at least. Would you consider it?” She asked very nicely. Her tone was genuine.

c“Ghhhhhgghhhhhhh.” A fairly quick response from Chikako after she hears the door to the daycare open. Shit. She hoped nobody would find her here, it’s like–one of the least trafficked places to her. Well, she assumed somebody would go searching eventually for her body. Just not this early.
“Go away….Nei-chan?” She pokes her head up, the sound of her voice becoming significantly less dulled. “You shouldn’t be talking right now. Wait for your wounds to heal, please. Tbh, just forget you saw me.”
She ignores the questions about eating or drinking. Well…she HASN’T, but…that’s not the point.
“...That would take too long.” Her voice was soft, and kind of mumbly, but since there was no other real noise in this room, she could be heard fairly well. “So long as I don’t really move my left cheek, I’m ok.” She shuffled around her backpack, and took out a book. “...I brought you something. I found it in the weird sort of gacha machine that we’re supposed to put those monokuma coins into. It’s, like, a cutting-edge technology book.”
She holds out the copy of  ~‘The Future is Now! A Look at New Technologies Yet Released to the Public!’ - A book detailing different companies and research groups in their efforts to create really cool things! These range from hoverboards, to holograms, to even human-like robots!~
“I know you’re into, like, science and stuff, so I figured you may like it... or not, if you don’t want it, you don’t have to take it. I just thought it may help give you something else to think about.”

True Light’s Flight | Chikako
“Ch-Chikako-chan... Are you in here?”
Oneiro was concerned. She looked all around for her friend. The poor thing... losing someone you really cared about what something Oneiro wouldn’t wish on anyone.
Although preoccupied with some fears of her own, what was important was making sure Chikako was as alright as she could be.
But... where was she?
After some searching, Oneiro decided to check the daycare room on a whim. It was there she would find her friend, laying in a slump upon the floor. Whew boy... It was pretty much as bad as Oneiro was worried it would be.
She approached slowly, and knelt down next to her. “H-Hey, Chikako-chan. I’m glad I’ve found you. Have you eaten? Can I get you some water?”

Oneiro helps her find the door. “W-Well, I’m sure Ends-chan would forgive you, Komaka-chan! It’s not like it wasn’t in defense that you went after him. He was bein’ a big jerk, but he’s better now, I promise!”
“Anyways though, hanging out with you was a lot of fun! We gotta do it again soon, Komaka-chan!!” She hands Komaka a couple bobby pins in case she wants to pin her hair out of her eyes... poor thing.

“… it’s complicated. If we survive this Ochako-chan I’ll tell you,” Komaka stated as she looked to her then stopped as she explained her name deal.
“Hrm…” her eyes narrow “was Ochako the name of anyone bad? Like a murderer or…” she shakes her head, her messy pigtails finally coming undone, causing her hair to fall down over her eyes.
“Ahh! Crud. Hey Ochaaaa-neiro-chan. Know any good hairdressers?” she asks. Deciding to deflect the question. It HAD been a while since she or really anyone here had gotten their hair cut…
...If we survive this. “Y-Yeah... I really hope we do. I wasn’t too afraid of death when I didn’t have any emotions... Now I can feel fear and, boy, oh, boy, do I feel it!!”
Oneiro shrugs. “I really don’t know! It might have been, or maybe something else, I’m not really sure... All I know is the more I think about my name being Ochako, the more freaked out about my name being Ochako that I get.” Hairdressers?? Typically, Oneiro would dye her own hair... but she’s never cut her own hair, or anyone elses. “Well, Ends-chan helped me style my hair at like, really early the other morning when I woke up with all of these emotions. He also helped Kotori cut her hair, I think. You should ask him! Boy, do I love Ends-chan! He’s so talented~”

“Oh okay,” Komaka said.
“Well shoot I was hoping I was getting to the bottom of this whole thing,” Komaka sighed, “oh well. Nice to meet you Ochako-san.”
There’s a pause from Komaka as she suddenly looks up at Oneiro one more time.
“Hey. Oneiro-san… I have one more story to tell you. It’s kind of a silly one and you’re free to dismiss it if you want. Think of it as… a dream I had but couldn’t remember until now…”
And with that. Komaka leaned back on the bed again… and began to tell her story once more.
Once again once again, Oneiro listened intently. This story was a little more... not absurd. A little less absurd, rather.
“...Interesting. Very interesting, Komaka-chan. Although, I’m not sure exactly how to interpret it. Are you the girl? And who was the boy? Is that about someone you knew? If it really was a dream, I think I have to get to know you better before I can make sense of it...” She continued, “A-Anyways, I’m sorry you couldn’t ‘get the bottom’ of me... B-But!” She turned away, frowning. “A-Although my name i-isn’t really Oneiro, and I think it really is O-Ochako, I... Being called that gives me really bad vibes. Like, I feel like, scared, when someone calls me that. So, if I can request, please don’t! Please just keep calling me Oneiro. If you don’t mind!”

Oneiro, once again, listened intently. This time, however, her face slowly became more and more and more and more and more and more  and more and more and more and more and more and more and more and more and more and more and more and more and more and more and more and more and more and more and more and more and more and more and more and more and more and more and more and more and more and more and more and more and more and more and more confused. What a trip...! Maybe Komaka should have written her app instead of Liam! Unfortunately, Komaka was wrong about almost everything, if not entirely everything.
Oneiro spoke only after listening to Komaka’s entire story. “Well, here’s the first problem, Komaka-chan; I already remember my old name before it was Oneiro. It was Ochako, actually! I remembered it when I had a dream about a big ol’ mansion or something, and there was a lot of tea in it. Some scary stuff, too. But yeah - if you knew me in the past, you might know that my name was Ochako at some point in time before it was Oneiro.”
“That aside, I... I’ve never had any dreams about anything you’re talking about right now. I mean, I don’t... I don’t know that it couldn’t be the truth, for sure?? Or parts of it? But, like, I... So much of that just sounds kind of like nonsense, Komaka-chan... I’m sorry! Also, I feel like I would have had a flashback or something when Chikako-chan talked about Charybdis to me the other day. I’m not sure if you really... touched upon anything, but, at least you came clean about not telling the truth immediately after finishing! Thank you, for that much!”
She brightened up at the topic of Ends. “As absurd as this story was, I do think I may have at the very least enjoyed Ends-chan’s music before I lost my memory. Before “The Scratch,” as I’ve been calling it lately. Ends-chan’s music sounds really familiar to me... I’ve had a few dreams that reminded me that before The Scratch, I liked really heavy music! So, I probably actually listened to misanthropyRISING! So yes, the notion of me appreciating Ends-chan before I lost my memory DOES make sense... but I’m sorry, this was a theory I’ve had since before you talked about whatever all this was!”
