No offense to kae//////////bedo shippers, you guys are awesome and valid but every time I see/hear so much as someone mentioning the ship name I physically recoiled, all trace of happiness gone from my being.

Like I am genuinely surprised and confused as to why I hate this particular ship so much. Like I adore Albedo, he's my blorbo, my comfort character, one of the few selective characters I heavily projected onto. And for Kaeya I found him and his lore interesting and intriguing, also his character is a mood and a half.

So why tf and where tf did this hatred come from?

So somehow, as always, finals went by better than I thought. I managed to secure quite a high score despite knowing next to nothing about what I am learning. So yay I guess

Welp, it is that time of the semester again. I dunno if I'm trigger happy or just doesn't give a fuck anymore but eh.

I don't know whether it is better that I refrain from wishing to die out loud/in text format because I think it's selfish of me to traumatize my fam that way.

The TikTok-fication of Tumblr and why it needs to stop before your fave writers are gone for good:

1. “Part 2??”

Unlike TikTok, writing 5,000 words for a fic does not happen in 6 seconds or more. Weekly updates are from a writer who spoils you and is passionate about their story. Don’t kill the passion by demanding for more and not appreciate what’s already given.

2. The DC Conundrum

Many writers on this platform hail back from the ff.net days where dark content is a norm, not like TikTok where even death has to be censored or you could get flagged.

Despite that, writers are doing you a service by sharing fic warnings despite how it may take away from a plot twist or a big reveal. However, there’s a fine line between sharing warnings and downright spoiling our own work. Heed the warnings, don’t be a dick. If you don’t like it, don’t read it. Learn how to filter your own content, too, while you're at it.

3. The Wild Algorithm

Unlike TikTok, Tumblr’s FYP is not in your face and you have a choice to not view it. Content often gets buried a few days after it’s posted without reblogs or comments to keep it alive.

4. Passive Content Consumption

Ties back with point #1. If you’re only sitting back and reading works without supporting the writers, they can’t spend 6 seconds to conjure up a fic. Writing takes time, editing, proofreading. Tumblr is a book club, not a delivery service.

5. De(constructive) Criticism

If an opinion isn’t asked for, don’t give it. Many writers choose this craft for their own enjoyment and to share a thought or story about a beloved character to those who love them, too. If an opinion is asked? Be kind when you share it across to them. No one likes their hard work to be shat on by someone who doesn’t understand the time and effort it took to create this piece.

6. Are You My Content Machine?

Again, back to point #1. Writers have busy lives. There are days when we want to scream into the void about our favourite characters. We want to share our thoughts about them or sometimes, we just want to talk about what happened during lunch break. Demanding and expecting that a writer post content without giving a shit about the soul behind the screen? Dehumanizing.

Don’t ruin the experience for those of us who are still here. Do your part to make fandom better for everyone.

Idk why but somehow every ship that I rate from "It's cute" to "Another reason to live" will eventually have a dancing scene fleshed out in my head.

And I mean all of them, even the ships that I don't ship but still think positive of, in different settings and stuff. But all are dancing.

For example, TodoMomo is a ship I personally don't ship, but they get a setting where they are colleagues (dancer/ballerina(?) and pianist specifically) and is practicing in a wide spacious room with floor-to-ceiling windows, floor-to-ceiling mirrors, and wooden floor. A baby grand piano in the corner. It's close to dusk. The orange-red hues of those last lights of day filter through the window, landing on the gracefully dancing figure in the middle of the room while casting shadow on the young man in the corner, who is playing a heartbreaking tune. They don't look at each other, both seem lost in their own world.

Another one is on my hyper fixation rn: Albether. So Aether has regained his power, so he has wings again. Aether took Albedo high up in the sky and somehow Albedo manage to stay in the air too. It's late at night, and no creatures are awake. There is no moon, but the millions of stars that made up the Milky Way illuminated the sky, acting as the background to their dance. There is no music, but they are waltzing all the same. Perhaps to the tune of their own music? No one knows for sure. Aether is smiling, his eyes crinkling in delight. And Albedo? Albedo looked awe struck, pupils blown wide as he take in the breathtaking sight of the love of his life.

Maybe it's the intimacy of sharing one's personal space? Idk ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

actually just a mutual decision that was something they talked about for a long time already because they were in a long distance relationship for six years and decided to settle down once venti started considering retiring from performing and just sticking to songwriting/producing. just for 'visa/citizenship reasons' they say except these two had two expensive weddings in both liyue and mondstadt 😗

Change your blog icon. Do not leave it as Tumblr default bc you will be seen as bots. Also helps if you change your URL to something fandom related/unhinged. urls like sarah-x-lynn will cause people to think you are a bot and block you

How do you preserve the food from your garden so it doesn't go bad before you can eat it?

You are wildly underestimating my ability to go fucking feral about fresh produce. I don't think I even brought snap peas into the house last year. Just ate them right off the vine.

Though I did end up freezing the strawberries/blue berries as they ripened, but even those were consumed within the week.

The only tough one was the potatoes, but that was resolved by just foisting potatoes on everyone I knew. Much more welcome than Zucchinis.
