Because Brennan has gained experience playing the game of D&D instead of just running it, he is taking huge personality swings with Wealwell - the kinds of swings a PC would normally take with their own character (i.e., Daisuke having personal beef with Goldbeard). This is why I believe Wealwell Gotch is Brennan’s self-insert character this season.

Wealwell is insanely unhinged yet also so solid. He majored in standing, he throws up when he gets too nervous/excited, he has threatened to murder his brother, and he is so mad that you’re not taking the cave seriously.

Please, Wealwell is simply Brennan playing with his friends

I am so not ready to find out what happened to Comfrey. Cuz that radio signal from ep 1 makes me lean p heavily into the idea that she's dead. And it's like okay but if she's even half the crazy old bastard Daisuke is, which it sure as hell seems she's that and more, she's probably alive

But Daisuke's devotion to finding her? How badly he misses her? How distraught he feels when he isn't able to contribute in the search for her?

The thing about the silkworms that really kills me is Brennan in an instant accounted for the 30 FUCKING YEARS of being abandoned.

Bc Ally didn’t— they didn’t think about the fact that why on earth would a terrarium left for 20 years would still be alive and well. They just wanted to give Emily worms.

And Brennan literally had to factor that into the world building in that moment. And his solution was, obviously, if the worms have survived for 20 years, then they have been through thousands of generations so of course they have gotten to their Iron Age where they can create textiles. Of course Marya would be a religious figure that has existed only in myth for generations of these fucking worms. Bc obviously.
