See a lot of people using “Kagura sees Gintoki as her father” as an excuse to “why you should not ship GinKagu” and used the left picture from the panel above as an evidence.

Because back then I was far from catching up so I decided to keep reading before I made a reply and I finally reached this chapter…

If I were to be honest, I would not deny that Gin and Kagura have times when they act like father and daughter, but then there are times when they acted all married couples to me (read the manga again before you deny that), they do refer each other as husband/wife at times). And the right side of the panel above frankly tell you that saying Gin is a parental figure to her is not backed up because: “I don’t really understand the difference between romantic love and parental figure just yet.” and “I’m fine with just these guys as my boyfriends.”

The girl is just 14, never has any experience with love. It is normal for her to be confused within all kinds of love. Assuming she really thinks of him as a parental figure, you can’t assure that all the years after her feeling won’t change.

Another thing is age difference (frankly though, I do not even want to start with this one because it’s too ridiculous). Couples with huger age gap exists in real life, many of them. And laws approve. When Kagura is of legal age she can marry Gin if that’s what they want. You become so judging because of some age gap while frankly, I ship a 150 year-old shinigami with a 17 year-old high school student, at least my notp shippers haven’t come at me about those age difference yet. Do not make me start with “Till death do us apart”, basically a romance manga, the girl is about 16 and the guy is maybe in his thirties or so. My uncle is 12 years older than my aunt, are you guys gonna coming at me and shit on them too? Ask those people who have sent me anon before how I deal with anon hates first.

Gintama ep 283 - Confessional Arc

As an anonymous confessor, Kagura claimed to have come to earth to marry, and that her husband was a ‘diarrhea bastard’. She then complained about his personality and his smell, and admitted that in her annoyance at him she tried drawing on his face while he was sleeping. In an accident a half of a mop pierced her husband, but she left him still impaled. Not knowing the confessor’s identity, Gintoki told Tama to say that the girl actually did good, and then realized he had half of a mop stuck on his ass.
