Thank you for the posts you just reblogged. I don't know what happened I woke up to the drama and now I'm scared to even be here. To even be on my blog but those posts made me feel better even though I'm still scared to be here. I thank you for those posts they really made me feel better, genuinely so.

i’m   glad   friend  .      i   don’t   want   anyone   to   be   scared  ,      no   one   has   done   anything   wrong   that   i   know   of  .      we   can   sort   this   out   without   hurting   each   other  .      i’m   glad   if   i   helped   any  .      stay   safe  !

          i just want to make a little note in regards to what happened last night — which i wasn’t even aware of, since i wasn’t online, so admittedly i know 1% of the story. and yet — the person affected was a good friend of mine, one i used to write with extensively when she was in the ASOIAF fandom, and one i still talked to and followed once she moved to the SW fandom. even if she wasn’t though, that would change nothing — because a person, a real human being like me and you and all of us, was made to feel so uncomfortable on her own blog that she was forced to leave it, because of FICTIONAL CONTENT. because of writing fictional content that was never forced on anybody else. a real person, with real feelings and problems and aspirations and insecurities. this is honestly the only point i want to emphasize. because we pride ourselves on being so inclusive and so open-minded and so respectful and so pro-everything good, and, at the end of the day, this what we are actually doing. this is the world we’re creating.

I   JUST   CAN’T   DECIDE   WHICH   SHIP   I   LIKE   BEST   

but   in   all   seriousness  ,      a   jewish   roleplayer   has   had   to   delete   their   blog   and   a   dozen   more   roleplayers   have   followed  .      so   you   can   believe   that   no   one   should   be   allowed   to   roleplay   a   first   order   muse   because   of   their   nazi   inspirations  ,      but   it   is   you   who   has   silenced   and   bullied   a   jewish   person  . 

why   couldn’t   it   have   stopped   at   the   well - constructed   arguments   put   forward   by   some   people   as   to   why   yes  ,      the   first   order   are   inspired   by   nazis  ?      i   saw   some   great   posts   that   explained   the   argument   well   with   no   personal   attacks  .      and   i   agree   with   you   !

why   can’t   these   things   ever   stop   at   blocking   the   content   you   dislike  ?

you   don’t   like   the   inability   to   hold   power   over   what   people   think   and   what   people   write   so   you   find   the   only   power   you   can  :      the   power   of   the   mob  ,      sending   people   to   attack   and   @   these   people   and   denouncing   any   scum   who   don’t   want   too   or   mentally   can’t   engage   in   that   behaviour  .      until   those   people   feel   so   uncomfortable   they   have   to   leave   or   shut   up  .      until   people   feel   they   have   to   join   in   just   so   the   shitstorm   doesn’t   come   back   on   them  .      

and   then   you   laugh   about   it  .      

laugh   as   these   people   lose   their   outlet  ,      laugh   as   people   reblog   things   they   don’t   believe   so   they   don’t   get   hurt  ,      laugh   as   people   become   isolated   because   no   one   dares   associate   with   them  .

this   isn’t   just   about   one   incident   anymore  .      this   is   a   pattern  .

i   don’t   doubt   that   most   people   are   fighting   for   a   good   thing  ,      fighting   for   what   they   believe   in  ,      not   everyone   is   incited   and   not   everyone   has   engaged   in   bullying  .      but   comparing   people   who   write   characters   from   a   sci - fi   universe   and   dare   to   humanise   them   to   actual   nazis   is   probably   not   productive  .      and   those   of   you   who   take   it   too   far   are   doing   serious   mental   harm  .      these   writers   have   attacked   no   one  ,      they   have   no   malicious   intent   and   communication   or   simply   avoiding   them   could   have   solved   it   all  .

content   you   dislike   that   is   not   aimed   at   you   is   easy   to   block  .      harassment   aimed   at   you   isn’t  .

     in the events leading him from jakku, to his imprisonment on the first order star destroyer, back to the harsh sands of jakku, poe had managed to keep it together LONG ENOUGH to find a way back to the resistance base. back home. once there was when everything began to collapse down around him. his will to live, his resilience, his gusto. poe dameron is in the throes of a mental breakdown, and one of the only tethers to reality that he currently has a grip on is leia’s hand — she’s keeping him here ON THIS EARTH ( just as she has been for the past twenty - five years of his life ). he’s grateful for it.

     but part of him worries this will be THE LAST TIME he holds her hand. that she will disgrace him, exile him, once she knows of his betrayal — it’s his duty to debrief her, he knows. POE ISN’T GOING TO LIE, but telling the truth will ruin him, too. chest heaves, heavy breaths not fully making their way into his lungs.

Oh boy.  Another one? He could tell by Leia’s tone that things are going well between her and Han– and the last thing Luke wanted was to get stuck in the middle of whatever quarrel was going on.  The entire Hoth Base had seen how the princess and the smuggler were with one another and while Luke had felt drawn to Leia from the first time he set eyes on her through Artoo’s holomessage; even he wasn’t naive enough to try to step between them.  

Now if only they could stop fighting so much.  

He did appreciate her ferocity and loyalty though.  “We should be able to defend the base well enough– this isn’t a big enough squad to drive us out.” And the Empire had to know that, so why were they sending handfuls of ships down to occasionally sting at the rebel base– just enough, it seemed, to keep any ships from getting out.

SUDDENLY      ,      SHE    STOPS      !          a  tiny  BALL OF FURY  turning  ‘pon  her  heel  to  look  up  at  him      .      he  has  a  point      ,      something  her  mind  had  been  dwelling  on      .      at  least  it  seems  to  SNAP  her  mind  away  from  whatever  PETTY ARGUMENT  her  and  Han  had  been  in  the  throws  of      .

❛❛        THAT’S WHAT THEY WANT US TO DO      ,      LUKE      ,        ❜❜          she  realises  all  at  once      .           ❛❛        they  want  us  DEFENDING THE BASE      ,      thinking  we  can  drive  them  off  and  not  focusing  on  evacuation      .      A LARGER FLEET WILL FOLLOW      ,      we  can’t  waste  time  defending  the  base      .      we  have  to  get  every  one  out  now      ------      before  the  fleet  arrives      ,      or  they  won’t  SURVIVE...        ❜❜

she  doesn’t  say  it      ,      instead  she  HIDES HER WORRY  best  she  can      ,      but  if  they’re  coming  for  the  REBELS      :      that  means  they’re  coming  for  Luke  too      .      she  shakes  her  head      ;

LEIA    SENDS    THE    MEDIC    FROM   THE    ROOM      ,      SO    THEY    MIGHT    BE    ALONE      .          in  the  slow      ,      far - away  hum  of  an  ENGINE  and  the  soft  sound  of  TEARS  she  listens      ,      listens  to  his  broken  words  and  reaches  out  to  take  his  hands      .
