In my career, I think it’s important not settle, if you know what you want. Who is one of my favorite authors Devon Franklin talking about that very thing.

Marlin’s Mastery Journal Month 1
Hello Readers! Welcome to my first mastery journal post. During the next 12 months I will be posting my thoughts, feelings, and experiences through what I will call the “Marlin Mastery Journal”. You may ask, what is the “Marlin Mastery Journal”? I will tell you. A couple of months ago I decide to go back to school to get my masters degree in Entertainment Business at Full Sail University. One of my assignments every month is to journal my experiences over the next 12 months, which is the duration of the program.
My intentions for this journal is to most importantly be candid and transparent. I would also like this journal to reflect my growth and experiences through the program and to inspire and impact anyone who may be reading.
Honestly after I got my bachelors degree in Show Production at Full Sail University, I told myself, “ I will NEVER go back to school, and to be honest I was quite convinced that I wasn’t. As the quote says “never say never”. As I begin to work more in my field as an audio visual technician, audio engineer, and lighting designer, I begin to ask questions that couldn’t be answered.
There was this feeling inside me that just wanted to know more about the entertainment industry as a whole. I wasn’t so much concerned about the technical side of the event, I was mostly concerned how everything was put together on the business side. It was then I knew I needed to go back to school.
So far I have learned so much in a little amount of time. I can’t wait to see how these next 12 months will unfold, and hope that I can successfully document them through this journal. To sum up, I will say that I needed this last sentence to complete my three hundred words and also I hope to add some humor to this journal as well.
