live sophie reaction:

the rashomon job was legitimately so hilarious i had tears in my eyes from laughing so hard oh my god. the whole episode was fucking gold but my favorite part had to be everybody butchering what sophie sounds like, capped off with precious parker's complete inability to hear anything she says. sophie is just full on charlie brown adult voice to her, lmaoooo.

There is, has been, and always will be, a rotation of what is “bad to ship”. Specifically: m/m vs m/f vs f/f vs platonic.

It cycles from: “Only shipping m/f is homophobic, why don’t you have m/m or f/f too?”

Then it goes to: “The only reason you ship m/m or f/f is because you’re fetishising it! Go write your m/f and stop being gross.”

Then the inevitable: “Why are you only writing m/f or m/m as romantic? They can just be friends too! Stop being hetero-normative/homophobic.”

And there is always the: “I blame the fandom for not creating more of the ship I like [insert insult from above].”

My point is- Keep shipping what you want. Keep creating what you want. You can’t please everyone all of the time. What we are seeing now is just a louder version of what has always been. It will cycle, and it is cycling even faster now thanks to the way sites like tumblr allow quick discussion with a large audience. Don’t try to predict it. And you owe no one an explanation as to why you like something.

You know how Julie has emoji’s on her backpack straps? You think that like if she leaves her backpack in the garage occasionally the boys just stare at the straps for a second and are like “what are they 👁️👄👁️” they ask and she’s like “they’re just emojis” and their expressions don’t change bc they are still just as confused like saying the name of them is unhelpful to them

“They’re what you send in a text to someone to convey how you’re feeling”

She just has a moment of like “this is harder then I thought it would be” 💀 like just having a genuine realization of how much technology has evolved compared to what the boys were used to when they were alive

“Two people can call each other with phones right? You can type a message to someone and that same concept applies” she like holds her phone up as a prop and they’re like “…how though 👁️ there’s no buttons”

“It’s touch screen, you just touch the screen”

And the three are like dazzled💀 Julie enjoys how impressed they are but it is understandable since technology has changed so much since when they were alive
