That was the thing with this job and his life now. The more you thought you knew about people the more likely a cartoon ham from another universe will show up causing trouble. Neo Gotham was built upon old Gotham. The Gangs and even the artists of the modern Gotham portrayed the past in oral and actual visual audio stories. Catwoman and Batman the target of much speculation and no doubt his relationship with Melanie had irked Bruce in some manner. He smiled at the prospect of her chang.e Course Terry did his homework, but he felt greasy following here even with the suits stealth technology. ‘ Well, Melanie you are talented and you proved you could use those talents for good.’

“Oh, I know. So, does this mean I get to be part of the little bat clan?“ Now wouldn’t that make her parents twist and turn in their cells if they found out Melanie was currently aiding the good guys and actually being a nice girl. Well, as nice as she can manage to be. “Because I wouldn’t mind being Batgirl.” Well, she would prefer Batwoman but honestly, anything would work and she wouldn’t really mind working beside Terry. Even if she has to admit her interest isn’t entirely just professional. “Then again, that would mean I work for you, right? Not sure if I can do that.” And the smile on her lips show she is teasing. Though she isn’t one to follow rules.

sonsuper‌: Superboy.

     was jon technically allowed to be wandering around gotham without supervision? no. but what his parents didn’t know couldn’t hurt them, especially if he had no intention of getting in any trouble! plus, it seems like he’d made a friend – and that was always particularly exciting for the boy.             ❝   yeah, my dad’s super cool! but he’s always kinda                     busy so i don’t always get to hangout with him.   ❞     punctuated with a shrug, jon’s honestly more interested in hearing more about her. so when she offers to demonstrate the trick, an eager grin comes across his feature.                          ❝   heck yeah, i wanna see!! show me!   ❞

“well  duh! he is superman. heroes are always busy.“ her mom was no hero but she wore around a suit and make-up and she was mostly away from home. and her dad, well, she doesn’t know him but he ain’t a good guy. one of the reasons that keeps the big guy away from superboy, she figures. 

a bright smiles shows up then as she stands proudly at the eagerness he shows. “okay, okay. watch this, okay?” and she takes a little leap hands on the floor before her as they press there and allow her to take off feet from the ground. the cartwheel isn’t exactly smooth but she finishes properly and she can show off. 

“how was that? my mama taught me! and also how to use a hammer but she said I’m not supposed to use it until I grow up.“ a pout forms then. “grown ups always say that.“

Terry had a complicated history himself with the law. While Batman and his friends and family were a reason enough to fight for good, Terry had been trying to keep a more open mind than that of his predecessor. More often than not Bruce had told him so, but regardless, Terry had found his wa and now it was less and less that he disappointed the old man. Still, he had to hold out hope that maybe his old friend could help him and not give away his secret. Terry shrugged as he tried to play off the stories that circled Neo Gotham and the reality of being a confidant of Bruce,’ Yeah, but your less into whips, which is good for me.’ He said, with a cautious smile. 

“You don’t know that. I have many secret talents. I might had a poster of her for sure.“ Catwoman. Everyone whispered back in the days, she is intrigued, but she knows better than to bother the batman himself with this. The old one that is. “But sure, less whips, more flying cards.” A short pause before there is a chuckle breathe out of her lips. “That was the old me anyway.” She wishes she could show him enough that she had changed, there was not a part of her that missed being a criminal. No. But there was something inside that missed the action. “I do miss being in a suit. But I’m sure you know the feeling, Batman.”

firstbcywonder‌: Boy Wonder #1.

     Dealing with civilians could always go two ways: Either they were thankful to be saved or they had something to say about his work. Obviously Vale belonged to the latter group. He didn’t take much offence with it though since she was obviously simply trying to do her work and he had INTERRUPTED her investigation. But he also couldn’t say he was sorry for protecting her even if she probably didn’t exactly APPRECIATE what he had done.

       “ Well you can probably guess the answer to that question. ” Shinny spandex, well that one wasn’t exactly new. Maybe he should really question his outfit a bit more if everyone just continued to COMMENT on that. “ But I promise to leave you some space as long as you don’t get yourself into too much trouble. ” He couldn’t leave her alone even if he wanted to. Surely Bruce would show up sooner or later if he didn’t have an eye on her right now. “ You could also share your information with me and let me help DIRECTLY. I got some connections and I know the city better than anyone else. Maybe I can be useful here. ”

“Your boss taught you how to stalk a reporter or you learned that on your own merits?“ Honestly, first she has the old man all on her trail and now she has the first boy wonder pretty much saying she had no choice into this situation. A look at her phone makes her sigh. It’s late and said trail was growing cold. “Honestly, Nightwing, when is a reporter not in trouble?” and that makes the redhead crack on a smile, almost amused at his request. Yeah, right. “I get in trouble as much as any of you.” Oh if she had a nickle. She would be, Bruce’s levels of rich.

Eyebrow raised at the last words. “I have a murder board back home. You can help me connect why and how exactly is Maroni and Black Mask working together.” Was it a blow to Falcone? She has a working theory but he is right. Perhaps the look of one of the bat detectives in the city could be useful. “I need to find out where it will be their next meeting. And I need evidence.” Incriminating evidence, that not even a jury could pass by. Green eyes look toward the vigilante and offers her hand, as if closing the deal. “And I promise no more complains about you being around.”

Terry had broken a cardinal rule of Batman, but he learned that rule seems to have been broken a lot by the OG Bat and his successors. Call him a sucker, Terry believed in Melanie and if that would be his downfall, then he would accept it. But until then, he had to deal with the possible ire of not telling h the truth prior. To say they had history would be to put it lightly. There was a fire of passion that trailed in their past s and Terry had been fortunate enough to meet her again. Once the prospect became known it was easy to piece the facts together, ‘ So – are you mad?’

“Mad? No. Perhaps only a little.“ It was complicated. Arms fold over her middle as eyes look through the open window at the city of New Gotham. It’s strange, to be trusted this much to be allowed to know all the truths.  “So when I gave my letter to batman for you, you actually gave it to yourself.” Odd. Then again it’s old news. She can’t dwell that much on the past, blue eyes shift casually toward where he is. “You know, I’m sure the old man isn’t agreeing with this. You trusting me.” Telling her a secret so big. Gentle steps drag her closer and a curve of a smirk shows up on her lips. “Didn’t he had his own history with a bad girl back in the day?”

“ You don’t think I know that? I still don’t think you’ll do anything though, then ya gotta find another pillow and i’m THE BEST, sorry. “ Kara snickers a bit. 

“Shit, you’re right. I don’t want a new pillow.“ I mean, she could go back to Cass or Tim, but Kara was the best pillow, true fact that shit. “I want to change the movie though. I’m bored. Move your comfortable shoulder a little, please.”

“That’s Nightwing, right?” she asked, cracking a smile as she touched down beside Batgirl, “I’ll keep that in mind when I meet him,” though the prospect of someone else flirting with her was amusing to say the least. But Jean quickly got back to business. “Young and scared and needs someone who’s not an intimidating adult like Batman to get them out. I don’t know much more than that, I’m just the most human looking X-man the kid will trust,” she frowned. What was a kid doing in Arkham anyway? “Do your thing, Batgirl,” Jean took to the air again, hovering close to the other redhead. This was probably one of the few missions she’d had where she wasn’t in costume. Or a mask. She didn’t mind. She was begining to outgrow Marvel Girl anyway, “A little?” Sounded like an understatement. “Thanks for the warning, Batgirl. I’ll watch my back.” Because today, there was no X-jet around with her backup.

“Yep, that’s him. Dork Wonder number one. Though I’m sure number two also has a thing. It’s an open theory.“ She needed to find an answer to that question but considering Jason was hanging around some kick ass redheads, she could put a yes stamp on that one. “Batman ain’t that scary for kids in this town. ” Though he is imposing, even Barbara could admit that. But this needed a gentler touch neither Batman or the others possessed. Grappling hook shoots through the night as she approaches the gates of the asylum. There is a quick breathe in, and breathe out. The place always gave her the creeps, and considering that the Joker was inside, there was a kind of bothering thought on her mind. But she is here on business. “Access Code: Red Bat.” She tells the front man and she offers her wrist to scan, nodding Jean to follow. “The kids’ name is Jessie. She activated her powers and the police didn’t really knew where to put her. Blackgate was full. She is a minor but the incident left two people in E.R.” It was complicated. Gotham could deal with maniac clowns and exploding penguins. But mutants? That was another level.

You will be up in no time.” She doesn’t need to be updated on what had happened. Dick Grayson was trouble, perhaps now more than ever considering how lost he seems to be without the Robin mantle. and the arrival of jason surely didn’t do any good. “hank called me. said you would like some company.”

“GUESS WHO IS A TITAN!“ and the young girl bounces in the middle of the room, eyes closed (she had seen things she would never unsee and needed to be careful), though her hands are thrown in the air in victory.  “I mean, they said i could go and bounce there when I needed a place to crash which is awesome. no offense, I love you all but I need teens around! boys, sleepovers!” and she can’t really have that leaving with the birds. well, she could, but considering she sometimes bounced searching for dinah and found her with oliver, it was better to just have a place to crash. “Robin said he would give me an entrance code.”
