"In this galaxy there’s a mathematical probability of three million Earth-type planets. And in the universe, three million million galaxies like this. And in all that, and perhaps more...only one of each of us. Don't destroy the one named Kirk." CMO of the USS Enterprise. Best friend of Jim Kirk. When you’re asleep
Your chest rises
Oh so slowly
Your mouth opens
Oh so slightly
And I can see
your naked bones

Bones totally standing up for Spock, defending him against Kirk. And there are people who claim that McCoy seriously disrespects or even hates Spock. Yeah right. Not!

Anon asked : Hurt!Bones with protective, badass BAMF!Jim? :D
Dear Anon, your prompt was great, thank you for submitting this ! However I’m not happy with how this turned out… Trust me I tried at least 15 different poses and atmospheres but I just couldn’t come up with anything decent, I’m sorry ;___;

whenever kirk is off on a mission or something and spock is left in charge of the enterprise, mccoy just sort of
wanders in
it’s like he has this sense that spock is going to need someone to disagree with him in order to move the plot along in the next three minutes!!!
it’s great

"For god’s sake Jim- at the rate you’re teasing, people are going to notice their CMO and their Captain have been away from their stations a little far too long."
"Are you always this uptight?"
"Well find a way to shut me up and maybe I won’t be-!"

McCoy watched Jim’s face, his demeanor, his body language – he watched all of it as he spoke about what could be between them. He wondered how this man, who had been through so much and had lost so much, could say so easily that he loved someone like him. Those were words that McCoy struggled with, words that he denied himself – because if he didn’t let himself frame his own feelings in those terms, then he tried to think that nothing could possibly go wrong. But who was he kidding, really? Not himself – at least not anymore. And he didn’t know if he had it in him to kid Jim, especially after he put himself out there for him like this. A sigh escaped his lips, but it wasn’t an unhappy one. “Honestly, it scares me sometimes how you’ve managed to elbow your way into my life, taking up more and more space, intertwining our lives together so much more than I should be comfortable with,” he said quietly. His breathing hitched slightly when Jim touched his stubble. It probably sounded silly, but such a gesture seemed just as intimate as the kiss they had shared. But he didn’t try to pull away or stop Jim, allowing the other man to touch where he pleased, creating a strange but not entirely unwelcome sense of awareness in the places those fingers lingered. And his words – oh, his words. How was it that Jim could so easily open himself up and pour his heart out for someone like him? He leaned into the kiss, wanting to feel closer to Jim. He slipped a hand into Jim’s hair, deepening the kiss – though he didn’t say the words, and if he tried, he would probably botch it terribly, feeling Jim against him like this just felt so right, like they were two pieces of a puzzle that had been brought together. His body sang that this was right, that this was what he needed – to be close to the man he had been in love with for years, if he were going to be honest with himself. Eventually, McCoy drew back from the kiss. “Christ. You’re going to be the death of me,” he whispered, his eyes still closed as he took in everything that Jim was offering him. He took a shaky but deep breath, opening his eyes to gaze into Jim’s own mesmerizingly blue eyes. “All right. We can… we can give it a try.”

“Hey …” Jim said softly. “Tell me about your great-grandfather. Horatio. Was he a sailor?” [x]
