— REASSURANCE

(My first time writing something angsty…and fluff ..self indulgent.)

A slight misunderstanding, one of ill logic and rubbed raw hearts, brings you on either side of a wall.

“Darling..”

You chew your lower lip, forcing yourself not to respond.

“Sweetheart. Please..let me in.” Kuroo’s low tones echo through the wood, rattling through your body. You hold yourself tighter and sink to the floor. You want to ignore him. He didn’t understand. No one ever did, so why would he? He most likely gave up anyways, and would walk away soon. So you wait.

Silence for a while.

“We can talk this out.”

More silence.

“Let me in, love. I don’t want to argue like this.”

You didn’t either. You lay your head on the cool wall, scooting away from the door. This gives him the needed distance to finally open it. Upon finding you on the floor, he kneels. His fingertips brush your arm, eyes focused on you.

“Look at me..please.” When you do, the connection sends a buzz through your body.

“I care about you. You mean everything to me..and..I don’t want to lose you to a petty argument. I’ll say it as many times if I have to. I’ll do anything to keep you here. Just say the word.”

A usually taunting look has turned into a soft gaze. He presses a kiss against your forehead, starting to get up before you grab his collar.

“Don’t leave, Tetsuro.”

He sits next to you on the floor, letting you into his lap. If you don’t sit there, he intertwines his pinkie finger with yours.

“Take as much time as you need. I’m not going anywhere.”

More silence.

It was comfortable, though. The simple touches, the feeling of someone there instead of the cold wall or the door. Tears fell, but were wiped away by a gentle thumb across your cheek. Kisses against your temple. Words spoken softly against the shell of your ear.

“Want to stay here, on the floor? Or move to the bed..?” He asks tentatively after a moment. His eyes flick across you, waiting until you reach for him to pick you up. Tetsuro carries you to the bed, settling you into the sheets. He pulls one of his hoodies over your head, letting you shuffle it around to your liking as he sits next to you on the bed.

“Comfortable?”

A nod from you. Though the conversation was far from over, you did feel more relaxed. Reassured that he wouldn’t leave after a scuffle.

“Good.” He tilts his head, smiling slightly.

“Let’s talk when you’re ready. For now, I have you, and you have me. I’m not going anywhere. Promise.”

His works and achievements as a solo artist are not properly supported and boosted by Pledis.
