Much thanks to everyone who made the 12th annual Out of Bounds such a huge success!
We'll be back August 26 - September 1, 2014 for lucky number 13.

Does anyone recognize this year's trading card package design? It's a parody of an obscure, often made-fun-of trading card series from the 60s & 70s. Any guesses?

You've seen OOB fest IRL but have you seen Austin Improv on public television? It's coming. Take a look.

Our photographers work so hard to capture each and every performance and upload their work just days after the event. See the fruits of their digital labor.

In the great black room
there was a microphone
And a spraypainted boom
And a picture of—
The gnome skateboarding over the moon
and there were three funny players, sitting on chairs
and two clicking cameras and a pack of cards
and a ticket taker and a coffee maker
and a badge and a shirt...

Of all the experiences I’ve had this week, stepping into Ezra Weisz’s mask workshop for five minutes to model this mask for the students was the most surreal and fascinating. Having a dozen or so people - some friends, some complete strangers - stare intently at your face - but not *you* - and express the wide range of emotions it elicits is eerily satisfying.
Makes me want to try mask work again.
It was a perfect pause in the middle of a long, crazy day.

I think every single light bump at the Stateside has been called out on stage. So much for subtlety. :P

Next year...
Like many improvisers this weekend, I'm sitting in the Austin airport thinking about staying. Thanks for another great OOB staff, volunteers, performers and producers. (And if anyone has a Nerdvana trading card find me on Facebook. I never got to see it!) Star Seeds, Stephen C. James

I had a very brief cameo in tonight’s show. Much love to the commissioner and chief for hiring me on as receptionist.
