im honestly surprised (not really surprised considering what website this is) that i haven't seen anyone on here talk about Lil Nas X getting violently arrested after suffering some kind of mental health episode. I wish he was getting more attention and support.

"humans are the virus" or whatever. never mind the literal thousands of years and modern examples of humans actively supporting the ecosystems that we live on. without park rangers, national parks would be overrun with invasive species. the yurok tribe fought hard and managed to convince the state of california to destroy a dam to restore a historic salmon run river. prescribed burnings are used to prevent forest encroaching and to preserve prairies.

lastly, i'll mention the osage orange. hypothetically, this tree should've gone extinct after the mass mega fauna extinction in north america. there isn't really a native north american animal capable of eating the massive, thick skinned fruit, and thus, disperse its seed. yet, its wood is some of the strongest, most dense, and longest lasting lumber in north america.
earning it the alternative name of bowwood!

you are only a part of the virus when you choose to live in your ecological nihilism.
you can chose to live in your despair. or you can figure out ways to help. volunteer at a local nature center or park, help fight the invasive species our ancestors introduced. if you have the space and means, plant native plants.

This video is one of the most comprehensive looks into this subject (at least, from the perspective of North and South American ecosystems).
I am gently taking your hands and begging you, BEGGING YOU, to understand that humans are not inherently harmful to the planet. We are animals who are part of the ecosystem. We belong here. This is our home. We belong here. You belong here. Yes, you belong here.
