Do you have any recs for interesting video essays abt fatphobia? I want to learn more and I like the video essay format but most of the results on YouTube when I search it up are just conservatives making fun of the concept of fatphobia. Thx!

hard agree. hating cats is always a red flag. it is impossible to hate an entire species of animal in a chill, fun way. and that sort of reductive thinking is never limited to just cats. if someone had one bad experience with a cat and turned that into their villain origin story, or has had several bad experiences with cats and never once thought to interrogate their own behavior and how it might be contributing to those encounters, there's just no way they're not bringing that energy to the rest of their life. "i have had one or more bad experiences with [individual/type of individual], ergo i hate all of [group they're part of]." how super normal of you! i bet you're extremely hinged and fun to be around!

(which isn't even getting into all the social baggage surrounding cats specifically, of which there is a LOT. and almost all of it is rooted in misogyny or just general issues with respecting boundaries. but i digress.)

I don't have patience anymore for people who don't like cats. Not enough of you could be normal about it. If you don't like cats then fuck you.
