i dont know much about rpgs tbh, deltarune is basically my first one. So I don’t quite understand what’s Susie’s outfit is referencing, can you tell me the inspiration?

sure! I'm kinda of just taking common design elements you see in the girls from some of the more iconic RPGs of the 90s. her outfit probably has the most in common with marle and terra (first two here).

to me this look indicates "an adventurous girl who's strong but still feminine and appealing as a romantic interest".
