i’ve come around to endor possibly being in kh4 like it is insane to drop kh players straight into return of the jedi but it would match the theme. if we do get sora’s introspection into darkness, maybe we’ll get a luke—sora parallel. maybe riku gives luke advice before he leaves to face vader. that’d be cool lol

KH got me into final fantasy initially, and I got into some aus recently. I love the idea of Zack being in KH4 and hope he would have some fondness for a flower related key blade wielder that also encountered Ventus for better or for worse.

I just think they would be funny friends. Please give Zack more friends, he deserves a buddy.

Do you ever think about how in earlier Sora/Riku scenes like the flashback in KH1 where we first learn of a meteor shower they saw as kids and their reunion in KH2, the song that plays is called “Friends In My Heart.” And that evolves into “Dearly Beloved” in DDD, which plays when Sora and Riku’s sound ideas meet, when Riku decides to dive into Sora’s heart to wake him up, and in KH3 when Sora and Riku summon the Combined Keyblade. And this evolution from “Friends In My Heart” to “Dearly Beloved” coincides with the evolution of Riku’s goal — going from wanting the strength to protect “what is precious” to “who is precious.” Riku admitting to himself how precious Sora is to him is the key to waking Sora up in DDD. Many (myself included) see DDD as a turning point for Sora and Riku’s dynamic — it feels more romantic from DDD onwards — and the fact that the soundtrack reflects that is crazy. “Friends In My Heart” even sounds similar to “Dearly Beloved.” It feels like a natural progression for the song, just like it’s natural for two friends to become something more. To fall in love.
