Does anyone else ask their friend or the person that you're talking to to repeat themselves because you didn't catch what they said, but then you didn't hear what they said the second time either, so you ask them to repeat a third time, but they say something like, "Oh, it doesn't matter now." And then you feel excluded and self-conscious because, for some reason, your brain said no to hearing.

Yeah okay so I like the angst potential of the hc that most of Stan’s old man medical issues were actually the result of injuries from when he was living on the streets bc canonically he’s like 58 or something w a hearing aid and dentures so that hc makes sense buuuut has anyone considered the angst potential of some of those injuries having happened while working on the portal with hazardous materials and no expertise?? And Ford finding out that Stan has permanent physical disabilities from trying to bring him home for all those years??
