Phoenix Wright - He's tried his hand at simple magic card tricks thanks to Trucy's influence and assistance. He also strikes me as a guy who plays with dominos and sets up really cool tricks with them around his apartment.

Miles Edgeworth - He helps moderate a Steel Samurai forum in his spare time. Maya is also one of those mods.

Apollo Justice - I know this is already partly canon, but I love to think he regularly uses astrology as an ice-breaker to get to know people. It helps with his social anxiety!

Klavier Gavin - He has his very own DDR machine (don't ask him how much of the Gavinners' earnings was spent on it) that he often plays with to impress nobody but himself. Everyone needs their own self-confidence boost sometimes.

Athena Cykes - She has a tendency to turn up the volume with everything she does since she grew up wearing headphones every day as a kid. She speaks louder, listens to loud music, and grabs people's attention by clapping her hands or making other loud noises. Loud is her best friend (sorry Apollo).

Mia Fey - Since she took good care of Charley, I like to think she's a great gardener! Her home is practically a greenhouse, and Maya n Pearl make sure to look after all her plants.

Ryunosuke Naruhodo - He engaged in creative writing from time to time. Though he never published anything he wrote, compliments were always given to his carefully constructed prose and excellent utilization of alliteration.

Shuichi Saihara - Taking after Kaede, he slowly learns how to read sheet music and play piano.

Makoto Naegi - He's good at being an influential public speaker. He's the type to create and present slideshows in order to get people to hear him out on his unpopular opinions.

Hajime Hinata - Keeps mementos of every special occasion to help quell his fears of forgetting himself.

Yuma Kokohead - Claims that studying is his hobby. He's most productive when he's stuck inside on a rainy day.

Yakou Furio - Has a habit of cracking inside jokes even if nobody he's around understands what he's laughing about.

Here are some au design headcanons for Resonance, let’s begin!

Phoenix Wright: Phoenix has gotten a little softer from recovering from the gap, he’s pretty buff too. He does have quite a few scars on him, the one on his lip being caused by eating glass. After the swap incident he wears a phoenix pendant that he can use as a stim. When using the magatama his heterochromatic eyes turn to green and red/black.

Miles Edgeworth: Edgeworth has also gotten pretty toned thanks to recovery, he and Phoenix are both units. Edgeworth has a scar on the back of his neck from the kidnapping, he doesn’t have too many scars other wise. After the swap incident Edgeworth has a stubborn strand of hair that falls in front of his face, he also has a sword pendant. When logic/mind chess is in use his eyes have a slight checkerboard pattern.

Apollo Justice: Apollo is a soft boy, he may not be as much a unit as Phoenix and Athena but he is one. Apollo has burn scars on his arms and he also got another outfit post AA6. After the swap incident Apollo has gotten a sun charm and he also has his horns soften from time to time. When perceive is active, Apollo’s eyes glow bright red.

Klavier Gavin: Klavier is a twink, even if he has some muscle he is still a twink. Klavier tends to wear clothes that show off, occasionally wearing red to represent Apollo, he isn’t scarred but he has freckles. After the swap incident Klavier has the horns and he wears a silver lightning bolt charm. When Klavier is reading the melody of someone’s heart, his eyes have a soft Purple Heart glow.

Athena Cykes: Athena is a unit who accepts her feminine qualities, she sometimes wears shorts. Athena has a scar but it’s almost fully healed, she has alternate attachments for widget so she can have options. After the swap incident Athena has a slight ahoge, that animates with her ponytail, she wears a golden moon charm. When she’s using mood matrix her eyes have a sound wave and they can react with different colors depending on the feeling.

Shuichi Saihara: Shuichi is a toned twink, thanks to Kaito’s training. Shuichi carries things from K1-B0 and Kaede to remember them (a hair clip and an armband), he doesn’t have any scars. After the swap incident Shuichi’s hair is slightly longer, he also wears a cyan locket that he uses to keep K1-B0’s memory chip. Shuichi doesn’t have any distinct eye indicators but he could have a snow like glow to his eyes when he is focused on something.

Ryunosuke Naruhodo: Ryu is a twink, he is also a ghost who died of natural causes. Ryunosuke has burn scars from the time the courtroom burned, he keeps ahold of Kazuma’s items and memory as it’s been passed through the Naruhodo household. Ryunosuke’s paradox avatar has a golden dragon mark for when he is called, he also got a friendship locket in the shape of a purple eye from Yuma. Ryunosuke has a bright glow when focused on the truth.

Yuma Kokohead: Yuma is a short king, he’s the shortest of the main cast. Yuma has a key tattoo on his chest and on his wrist a rainbow eye, this is due to his forte and previous connection to Shinigami. Yuma post swap has decided to let his hair be a little more messy, he also gives a charm to Ryunosuke; Yuma himself has a scale charm he wears as a necklace as a gift from Ryu. Yuma’s forte will often cause him to get physically drained risking his health. (Headcanon from @pixelatedraindrops not mine originally)

Makoto Naegi: Makoto is the second shortest of the bunch, he’s soft. Makoto does have a scar from his failed execution, in regard to hitting his head. Post swap, Makoto’s hair softened its spikes, he also has a green star charm too. Makoto has a focused flame to his eyes and they shine like stars when all hope seems lost.

Hajime Hinata: Hajime is a toned guy with a bit of chub to him, mostly due to recovery much like Naegi. Hajime has a few scars on his body from the Kamakura project, along with his heterochromia. After being split into two souls, Hajime finally accepted Izuru as a part of him, letting his hair grow out, he wore a key charm along with the hairclip. Hajime’s red eye occasionally glows in the dark and Hajime’s hair flares up when he’s feeling a strong emotion (when fusions get involved it turns white).

Iris: Iris ties her hair up, she also has a blue and red charm bracelet to remember Phoenix and Miles. Iris has gotten pink eyes from time to time when she’s using her gift from a spirit inside her. Persephone is her second self, channeling her true self allows a fairy of karma to manifest. Persephone is a magical girl.

I find it interesting and cute, I was recently looking at some art of yuma beging sick. (And The others too), I was already interested in making a drawing about it, but I had no ideas on how, this time I managed to do something, not the best thing in the world, but here.

Yes, this would definitely happen in the Discord roleplaying I do, but the reasons are different, in the drawing, Yuma looks quite cold, On Discord, he was pretty mentally broken.

To be honest, I love these two together, whether as just friends, or as family, on Discord, I make them like family, and a lot of angust things happened there.

It's not the best translation, because I wrote it in my original language.

Context: Shuichi had died in the story, and somebody brought him back with consequences, Yuma suffered mentally for Months and was hospitalized. Yuma blames himself for this, and thinks he should have died instead of Shuichi.

Doing those scenes there hurts me, because they became my comfort, and I cry along with them, I feel sorry, especially for Yuma, I started play as him last year, I'm trying to do a little post game Yuma, but it's a little difficult not to make him be the Yuma in game, especially in these scenes, I make him have a lot of problems hiding what he feels, especially in front of children, and still wanting to be a perfectionist and a loner. While others force him not to isolate himself again.

I'm sorry if I end up making OOC, They're clearly going to be alternate versions of the canon ones.

GERMAN CHEAT SHEET FOR KLAVIER WRITERS

Is Klavier Gavin German? Is he just pretending? Who knows! I’m not here to tell you your headcanons! But I am here to say that Klavier’s in-game German (at least in AA4, I’m not touching the other games) is nearly entirely correct, so he must have some knowledge of the language. You don’t? Well I’m here to help! I’m German from a mostly German family, I have lived here for 27 of my 30 years, and I work with GER-ENG translations.

I’ve put together a whole bunch of either things I’ve seen around the fandom and would like to correct, or things I just figure might be useful for fic writers, comic writers, et cetera. If there is anything else you would like to know that isn’t in this post, feel free to drop me an ask! I’m by far not an expert on all things German, but I’ll answer to the best of my abilities.

Lastly, if this seems like way too much effort for writing about gay lawyers and you’d rather keep using Google Translate, I genuinely, wholeheartedly, cannot and do not want to stop you. German is a silly and difficult language and fanworks are supposed to be fun. If any snooty German ever gets on your case about whatever Klavier said in your work, eat them.

Makoto take a break for once~ Agent Galaxy (Violet)

I finally read Makoto Naegi’s Secret File for the first time and wow I didn’t think it was possible to love him any more (he’s literally my favorite protagonist) but here we are.

Makoto I’m so sorry, you desperately need a break 😭

Oh stars in reply to my previous post, I am now curious about personality and even music motifs that could work for those fusions. You gave me some incredible mental images for these silly bois.

Music man, at your service! I've given instrument motifs to Rain Code's cast before, so I'm excited to add on to the pile once again! Much like my Rain Code list, I'll link to random examples I found of the instruments to showcase them. I'll touch on personality and songs for each fusion as well!

Metatron - Instrument motifs are the 808 drum from Phoenix (he's just got that funky n fun modern sound to him, trust me on the vibe check) and the trumpet from Edgeworth (his character theme made this an easy decision). Since we're combining a former art major and a pompous prosecutor who's secretly a huge nerd, you bet Metatron dons the artsy and expressive side from both of them. He likes using big, complex words as often as possible, even if it means he ends up using them in the wrong context at times. A song for him would be Audacious by Franz Ferdinand (with the bonus of the lead singer Alex Kapranos being what I imagine Metatron's voice could sound like).

Eros - Instrument motifs are the acoustic guitar from Apollo (he inherits the motif from his dad for extra sadness) and the electric guitar from Klavier (no surprises here). He's loud and proud, utilizing his own Chords Of Steel as he sings his heart out whenever his emotions spike in intensity. However, he's also very clingy and will make any excuse to not be out on his own, even if it means hanging around bad company. A song for him would be Blitzkrieg Bop by Ramones, as it fits with his 'HEY PAY ATTENTION AND DANCE WITH ME' energy.

Yuki - Instrument motifs are the electric violin from Athena (her Spirit Of Justice objection theme sold me on this) and the piano from Shuichi (he and Kaede had a duet piano motif in my eyes). Yuki is the type who runs head-first into danger but soon after is wishing they could back out while they're already in the thick of it. They're also very empathetic; if no one's around for them, they'll be around for others. Highly Emotional People by Marina is a fitting song for them in this regard.

Tsukiyomi - Instrument motifs are the taiko drum from Ryunosuke (the Naruhodo/Wright family tree comprises of different types of percussion I know it in my heart n soul) and the handpan from Yuma (same as usual from my Rain Code list). Tsukiyomi is curious about anything and everything, always on a quest to learn all he can about the world. He may appear pitiful, but that's just a ruse to slip away from conflicts and get out of sight. My song choice for him is Peach by Future Islands because while it is my go-to song for protagonists going against all odds, it fits a fusion of these two even better.

Icarus - Instrument motifs are tambourine from Makoto (fits his 'simplistic but not to be underestimated' vibe) and the bass synth from Hajime (powerful presence even under layers of other instruments). Icarus struggles with a savior complex, believing he is the symbol of hope. Despite his urge to help as many people as possible, he doesn't want to draw too much attention to himself. A song for him would be Every Little Thing I Say I Do by Dayglow.
