HEY EVERYPONY LOOK AT MY NEW GUYS (both 'Cons)
This is Orebreaker, she/her. Certified barbarian, lives for the crunch of steel as she fucking bodies her opponents. She's actually pretty chill outside of battle, not temperamental. But she knows how she comes off, so if you're not part of her 'inner circle' she definitely makes sure you remember her reputation. Definitely the type to low-key threaten you with a knowing smile on her face.
And this is Halite! He/him. Mostly does deskwork, he's efficient like you would not BELIEVE. Has no strong feelings about violence, but isn't really any good at it. He loves banter, though. A verbal sparring partner, an exchange of wits is something he craves greatly.
Halite and Orebreaker have been friends since before the war. Honestly Halite would probably be sliiiiiightly happier as an Autobot, but where Orebreaker goes, Halite follows. She's just such a force of personality!
Neither of them is really dedicated to the cause, Orebreaker just likes being able to decimate her opponents with great impunity, and the Decepticons are the easier team to do that in.
Because he has to keep track of every kill his team makes, Halite can get a little frustrated with Orebreaker, because she doesn't really take the time to figure out just who she's pounding into sludge. And since she's just so fucking good at ripping and tearing, it leaves him with soooo much extra paperwork.
I haven't decided on altmodes yet, although I'm considering the cancelled Tamo Racemo for Halite

an interesting route to take with MTOs post-canon would probably be that a lot of them do not have the same expectation of having an incredibly long life that pre-war mechs, even ones constructed rather than forged, do. much like the war offers an interesting idea by way of 'cybertronians do not have the same cultural expectation that death is an everyday fact of life that we do; what happens when it violently becomes that?', for MTOs the end of the war gradually offers you the reverse. when you're used to the idea most of you demonstrably are not surviving this war, and have known your entire life that you, statistically, likely won't- what happens when the war stops and gradually you realize 'oh my god, i am going to live for not a few hundred or thousand but millions of years'. when the dust settles and everything has actually chilled out, do MTOs have difficulty adapting to that? do they view time, and the urgency with which they do stuff, differently to the pre-war mechs who survived? i know i am alwaysss banging the 'god MTOs were so underexplored for a concept dropped right in there as a major worldbuilding expansion' drum but truly. you HAVE to imagine that a cybertronian culture with more MTOs than pre-war mechs in it would wind up looking so different, culturally, than pre-war cybertron, much less a 'return' to pre-war status quo than i expect a lot of those older mechs expected.
