"Le Garite doesn't look down on AI, in face our most prized artifact is the AI Vox Lympha," explained Lan. She wasn't sure how advanced each was in comparison to the other, but the Voxes weren't able to speak. Vox Aura texted Madoka sometimes, but mostly the link between machine and pilot was more empathic than anything.

"A reasonable precaution," Lan nodded. "If your Creators left their homeworlds and began talking about some force that drove them out, your welcome in the galactic community would not have been a warm one. And for synthetics, the idea of waiting until the war faded from memory isn't as intimidating as it would be for organics. Three centuries must just be a long weekend in the grand scheme of things." Hell, Lympha was older than the Geth's isolation more than 60 times over.

"I spend much of my time on Earth for... diplomatic reasons. My brother Dizelmine met with one of your Creators, though. He seemed to regard your race as a myth. Like a monster in an airlock or something. Hence why I didn't recognize you at first." Her expression melded regret and concern. She hoped it didn't sound like she thought of the Geth as monsters. Dizelmine had just considered them figments, like boogeymen. Lan should've known better; the Voxes had just been myth, after all.

"So... that's it then," mused the bluenette. "A few months ago a stranger in an isolation suit came to my world and offered an exchange of astogational data. They told us that 'the Geth lie beyond the Veil,' he must've meant you." She shrugged. Since the walls of reality started breaking down all sorts of spacefaring civilizations had visited Le Garite.

Geth... Geth... Geth... it sounded vaguely familiar. "Where are the Geth from?" she asked, inquisitively. She swore she had heard it somewhere before. Probably on one of her trips between Le Garite and Earth, but she couldn't quite place it.

"Legion." She repeated the name, mostly trying to decide if it was an amusing identity for something like this or not. She decided to smile and continue speaking, "You're self-aware, then?" It wasn't a big surprise to her. The Voxes were self-aware. But Legion was able to communicate, where Orca wasn't as good at that.

"Identity: Fin E Ld Si, Laffinty." She was almost comically shorter than the towering creature but stared up into it's bluish light with presence and poise. She radiated the command she almost never used. Mostly because she had no idea what she was talking to but wasn't uncomfortable talking to it. She continued, "Rank: Queen, Supreme Commander. Allegiance: Le Garite Interstellar Empire. Home system: Le Garite; Twin Persei Cluster." 

She paused a moment to let the data she provided be taken in and then resumed speaking, "Requesting information regarding this unit and it's primary functions."

"S-squids?" Being an extraterrestrial, Lan figured she didn't have a whole lot of room to judge. Besides, Madoka would've wanted her to be friendly. "I, um, I'm Fin E Ld Si Laffinty, most people call me Lan." 

And then Lan did what was certainly the inevitable next thing for her to do. She lifted her right hand and curled her fingers to vaguely resemble a paw, and greeted the way she was taught; "Woof."

"I-I-I... um, thank you..." she looked at the young girl for a long moment and gestured to the young girl's hair. "Are those tentacles?"

“Greetings ~de geso. You seem pretty new around here. I’m sure you’ll enjoy your time at the beach though ~de geso.”

[orca-lan]

"My name is Kyoko a magical girl. Kyoko tell the female.

"H-hello. I'm Laffinty..." she paused, "Um, people call me Lan. I'm a... queen."

[orca-lan]

"... I want to comment, but... I have no words..."

Laffinty's Mech Review was officially stumped.

[orca-lan]

"It wasn't a ploy," Lan looked away from the person, "I do hate carrots. And it was awfully kind to remove them from my sight."

AND I WAS WRONG.

It was all a clever ploy so that Lan could say the unending speech of thanks, thanking everyone who every existed while the other girl escaped.

This twist pleases me. I didn’t expect it, but considering the theme is teamwork/friendship, it fits right in.
