I'M MOVING BLOGS! As per my last post, it is indeed official, Kafka is moving to my old multimuse alongside Guizhong and Yelan, to join Arlecchino (and a potential Clorinde). So, I'll be over there at iniziare for those who are interested! It's still a massive WIP as I'm setting up some character pages at present, but with the pinned post and rules up as they are, and having invaded people's notes already from it, I suppose it's time to share it!

Source (guys, GUYS, it's her CN VA!!!). Oh my god, I'm feelings things. Literally yesterday, I was complaining in the tags on one of Kafka's posts how characters like Yelan are so incredibly subjected to being reduced to just a specific trait or two if most. And then I wake up to her Chinese VA having gotten people together to make this entire ode for Yelan's birthday, and it's gorgeous. The sheer passion she must have to have for the character as to have gotten this made, makes up for everything. It's passion, guys, passion will get me every single time. God, I'm going to have so much to analyze in this thing alone. AaaaAAAAAa. God, some have already translated a few lines, but I'm waiting on people getting the whole thing. But I just, happy birthday, my beloved Yelan who I'll never let go of.

Also, I'm sure this translation isn't perfect, but I managed to scrape together a little translation of part of the VA's description for the video on her Bilibili and it warms my heart:

"When I came up with the idea of "making a song for Night Orchid", I struggled with several options, and finally decided to make a piece with a national style tone, with Night Orchid's unique style, and hoping to incorporate elements of opera (a little personal preference). The character of Night Orchid especially poked me, and I wanted to express her backstory through the song, so I chose a more narrative theme, dividing the "past" and "present" of Night Orchid with the acquisition of the God's Eye (Vision)."

Really? The one time I have things to say, no one else is posting about it? Okay, fine, I'll do it any way (this came as a realization during a longer post that I'm writing up). This isn't anything super exciting, so don't get your hype up!

Apparently, 'round these parts, masturbation is considered very boring, to such a degree that she doesn't remember the last time she indulged in it. Why take care of a craving yourself when you can indulge in getting rid of it with someone else for practical reasons, with hopefully very thoroughly satisfactory results? But also, make no mistake, she's picky with who, she's absolutely never going to pay or charm anyone at random. Also, don't mistake this with being promiscuous— more on that in my longer post I'm typing up. /sweats.

Little 'PSA' time. Please know that even in case you see me actively writing and posting here, and you haven't gotten a response from me in DMs yet (both in Discord and on Tumblr), that it's not disinterest, and I will get to things eventually. On top of not being able to be social everywhere all the time, life is also getting increasingly demanding on some days (my landlord has kindly given notice that she'd like to move back into this apartment she's been renting to me, so a hefty move is in my very near future), and all I want to do is drown in the world of Teyvat. Now that I've finally used my stubborn brain to lasso my motivation to write back from the war, I want to actually keep trying to indulge in it daily, because I've been having fun, and the amount of engagement I've gotten has only added to that. So bear with me a bit, while I'm not shy by any means, I'm just not always the most social of beans, on top of wanting to focus my time on writing a bit more.

The basket that had held them throughout her travels from one nation to another had been of considerable size, impractically so, but it had been with good purpose, and worth every ounce of struggle. Now to hope they made it in one piece. "Ah-ah," she chided gently, a playful glint lingering in her eyes as she did so, moving a hand to ward off any curious fingers. "Not quite yet." She had to check, first. And so leaning forward to lift the lid of the basket just enough to steal a peek inside, relief soon painted itself all across her features in spades when she caught the sight of the two delicate lanterns nestled carefully within. They were intact, they had survived two journeys, and were ready for their next and final one.

With a smile urging contentment as she lifted the lid to fully unveil its contents to him, she turned her attention to the knitted throw that was tucked in there as well, and carefully tugged it from between the lanterns and spread it over the grass, crafting a snug little haven for their time there. "They made it," she murmured softly as she settled onto the blanket, her fingers straying over the paper surface of one of the lanterns. "This one, is yours."

But they weren't the only things that the basket had held; for nestled within were about a dozen floral-shaped lights that too were ever traditional of Liyue's festival, burrowed carefully into corners and remnant spaces, along with some boxes containing snacks she had made to last them throughout the veil of night if they so wished it. "Did you bring the matches?"
