Oh my, a wonderful day with and the mares today, The four of us went to the Institute of Arts and wandered the exhibit hall looking up art pieces from early 4th century China all the way to a few Modern pieces that weren't more than a decade old. Just watching the progression of art styles from culture to culture and period to period was amazing. It isnt even the drastic changes that captured my attention so much as the interesting little similanties that would tie everything together. Tavi and I are STILL processing everything we saw there. One thing I found nice was how NONE of the staff so much as gave us a dirty look. There were a few glances of curiosity, after all there were two men walking around holding ponies and talking with them about the exhibits, but that was all. It felt liberating being able to just go out in public with my best friend, his girl, and the mare I love and just. walk around a museum and check things out! Ill admit that at first I was VERY apprehensive of the whole ordeal, simply because I thought security would require us to leave our ponies in coat-check (at which point I would have just walked out of there), however they were so cool about it that... it just gives me confidence for the next double date Afterwards Twi and came back over and we had some Ramen ith own homemade seasoning, then watched a movie and just lounged around goofing off pretty much. Being Alone, Apparently, and Bad: vigilantethea: i can't believe people say snape was the only good slytherin oh my god. slughorn fought against voldemort, regulus black was kind to house elves and stole voldemort's horcrux, andromeda tonks married a muggle and was a member of the order of the phoenix, narcisa malfoy lied to voldemort about harry being dead, and none of them bullied children for 15 years incorrect-harry-potter-quotes Anonyme a demandé Snape was an asshole, but he was bullied during his whole time as a student at hogwarts. As he hadn't have a loving family at home, hogwarts should have been his new home, but the marauders kinda destroyed it for him. That should not be forgotten. Alright there seems to be this huge idea that Snape was horrendousty bullied and a loner as a student at Hogwarts when it is literally canon that Snape had many friends But they weren't extremely popular, not because the marauders were big bad bullies, but because these kids were obsessed with the dark arts and were practically death eaters in training Sorry if people don't want to hang out with your squad when you're intent on genocide Also Snape and James had a rivalry comparable to Harry and Malfoy For everything that James did Snape apparently (to quote ootp) "never missed an opportunity to hex James" which was briefly alluded to in SWM when Snape uses sectumsempra on James and slices his face open Also most of the tiffs they had probably weren't James and Snape alone It was probably the marauders against Snapes squad (which is canonically described as being much more numerous than the 4 marauders) And yeah it's heavily implied that Snape came from an abusive background But so did Harry The Dursleys literally locked Harry in a cupboard under the stairs for 10 years starved him, tried to prevent him from getting an education, and it's heavily implied that they were physically abusive along with their heavy verbal abuse But Harry chose to not let it hinder him and not let the horrors of his past turn him into a bitter person who takes out his anger on young children whom he had authority over and have been entrusted in his care And just so we're perfectly clear, a tragic background never excuses someone's horrible actions http://ift.tt/2A3uxXX
