Character designs for Big Hero 6 by Shiyoon Kim

These drawings helped me define Hiro not just as a design but as a real character to me.. The goal was to make a model sheet of him but I also wanted to use it as a opportunity to make them “slices of life” moments for Hiro.. There was more development after this, but this was a important point where I felt I began to relate Hiro as a believable character.. (The pose where he uses his foot to scratch his calf was something I used to do as a teenager..)

Headcanon that Hajime is a big trivia nerd. Does he know how to play an intrument? no. Does he know when Mozart wrote his final symphony? 1788 of course.

I think making this comic made me a Komahinanami shipper. I just think they are neat :)
